As the title says, im looking to make the interior of my R a bit different then stock but dont want nothing too silly i want it to look mature, I've got a few ideas but always better to know what the end finish will look like then spending money on something that turns out to look worse then you thought which did happen to me twice

The interior is the one thing I get a little tired with on my FR. I've driven a few hire cars over the past few years and the interiors have improved so much - you're much more cocooned and the plastic is higher quality.

If I could change anything, it's the trim - I don't know if you can coat it in anything, or if that would just be too expensive, but nothing reminds me how old my car is like getting in it.

I think the trim can be hydrodipped or w.e the term is, thats what im looking at doing. Either want piano black or carbon look.

Got a set of Momo pedals as my rubber ones are getting on a bit. Just have to find the time to fit them now. I've already had them something like a fortnight and have just been too busy.

Wow. That's brilliant - it looks so much more modern. Are those standard seats?

Who'd have thought cleaning your steering wheel would be such an effective interior mod?

Ever since I owned the car, I just assumed Leon steering wheels were naturally shiny. Turns out that when you buy a fleet car, they're just generally driven by filthy beggars.

I should have done this years ago.

Random question... My centre console (around the radio, A/C etc.) is a weird grey colour.

How much of a pain would it be to take this out and spray it black?

So pretty straightforward then! I didn't realise it would be that straightforward. I might even be able to clean the gunk out from the A/C buttons when that can of coke decided to spill all down the front.

I have a Sony head unit and the adaptor is black, so it makes sense to spray it all the same colour. Now to find out if I can get a decent finish...
