Hi,

After changing the clutch on my leon cupra i had a headlight range control problem, it did eventually go away, done a set of lowering springs and it has come back on, comes on every time the auto lights come on, the beams were high, and since the fault come back on very low now, any ideas what i can check/test? They are bi xenons, i have quickly checked the levers/rod and the connections going to seem to be all good, not sure how they work or how to test them, any info would be great!

Cheers
Jamie

My understanding is the auto level can only adjust so much. You'll probably need to adjust them manually with a hex key and get them level. Ideally take it to the garage and have them put it on the headlight alignment machine.

You maybe caught the levelling sensor?
I was thinking that mate, visually the sensor and the wiring looks all good, i thought i had maybe pulled the wireout of the connector as well, but it was all good, i am stumped.... lol

You can’t just adjust the headlights on these
You have to go into vertical headlight aim control on vcds and run basic settings for adjustment , this will centralise the headlight and you can then set the beam manually , save the setting and exit the module .

If you have lowered it / knocked sensor it will need re-learning .

If you just adjust the light without going into module when the headlight next runs it’s start up checks it can risk the projector coming off the adjuster as the test will force it past it’s stops because it’s been wound past it’s tolerance .
