Id give it a very good check over on collection. Often dealer errors like this are cover for a car that’s taken a knock in shipment and they are using it to explain body shop turn around.

Fingers crossed they’ve actually lost the keys!

I said this to my dealer handling it who isn’t on site and he advised he would rather of told me there was damage than this,TBF bit of a weird excuse and surely they wouldn’t of left it this late to make it up

I duno probably my luck tho and I’d never know would i

Hold in mate. On the plus side you can probably now rinse the dealer rather than SEAT direct for ANOTHER mishap.

So I plan to

so far they are delivering me and ate a FR to use in the meantime which helps a bit I guess but I just believe this from a customer service point

I think I’m going to complain to Seat UK about the dealership because losing keys regardless of our situation with wait times and customer service is just not acceptable

£78 on insure the Gap
Yes mate not replacement car, they settle whatever it is you owe whether it be pch pcp etc. I got in touch with them as I’d found a lower price elsewhere and they knocked 15% off my premium, worth a shout!

It's here!! All can say is Wow!
Mag grey is lovely,
It looks so good! I've got a mag grey ST to pick up on Friday. Cannot wait!

On the running in point though, how long should I be doing that for? I live in Birmingham but picking the car up from near Manchester so I'll drive back then off to Bristol and Wiltshire over the course of the weekend so hopefully all good for running in.

Should I avoid the motorways generally for the weekend do you think?

Yea follow the attached but also if using motorways don’t use cruise control and vary your revs/speed.

Incoming mass compensation !!

the dealer has lost my keys !!

no delivery for Monday now

7-10 day delay

called me 1250 the Friday before

can you even believe it !!!!!!!
That sounds like some dealer BS to me. How do you lose a pair of keys in dealership and give a 7-10 day delay. Surely if they'd lost the keys it would be until they found them or find an alternate solution. Something fishy going on.

You've had the worst luck ever with your order. I'd have given up a long time ago. I'd definitely be asking for some free side skirts and splitter.

I hope it's nothing to do with damage to the car.

This happened to me with a new Golf R from a VW dealership. The delivery was delayed by a few days, when the car was delivered I noticed the front end looked a slighty different shade of Lapiz Blue. After some digging the dealership admitted to me that the car had been damaged on site but instead of taking it to a VW approved repairer they took it round the corner to some back street bodyshop. The car had to be fixed properly at a cost of over £2k

I've just read in the Facebook group that someone's Leon had its roof repaired without them knowing. Got roof damage on the transporter. They've only found out when the roof started to bubble after a couple of years and SEAT have said the paint in the roof is thicker than normal and have refused a warranty claim. He can't prove it wasn't him who's badly repaired it so he's a bit screwed.
