Hi,
Can you help me understand logs in vcds
I have done a run of logs 2nd gear upto redline
Logs of air mass 002, fuel trims 032, boost pressure 115

To check for boost leaks maf etc.
Car is 2004 ibiza cupra 1.8T 180bhp

If anyone can have a look and see if they think it's good or bad.
Also how do I post the .csv file?

From what I can see in the Specified Boost, Actual Boost:

It takes until the next row of figures to build the Actual boost, and then matches the specified boost, maintains boost, sometimes exceeds slightly.

Does that sound right, or could that be a boost leak after turbo if a slight delay (1 row) to build the actual boost? or is that just lag?

It's been a while since I've looked at logs... but... I believe you need to include throttle % as well. I could be wrong but I think if eg specified boost is 1000... but throttle % is eg 40% (mine only goes to 85% WOT) then actual would be 500 and that would be fine because you weren't requesting all of it.

Looks fairly similar to when I logged mine and follows the same pattern. Requests more boost, gets more boost. Maintains boost. Then boost falls off gradually.

I had a block 032 run o2 fuel trim of -7.8% swapped maf, as I had a spare Bosch one, now -0.8% seems more responsive now.

I hope it was that rather than boost leak

Sounds like it. Anything up to around 3% is normal fuel trim. I had +0.8% funnily. That's until I fitted the Revo cone filter.

Had another look at fuel trims today and now with the new MAF I have:
block 032 run o2 fuel trim of negative -9.4% even worse than the negative -7.8% of old MAF
so perhaps still a problem um... any ideas?

I have charted Specified boost and Actual Boost in a graph, against time in sec, from what I can see that looks good, not leaking boost, holds boost, waves a little??? if anyone can take a look at that chart, opinions would be great ? stock 1.8t 180bhp. I'm getting a Max boost of 890mbar -12.9psi
