True, however i've found with my brothers M140i. With the 3 litre engine over the front of the car, there is relatively little weight over that back axle and it struggles to get its power down and keep from spinning the wheels. Once going forwards it can definitely get more power down though because of that squat. The added 120 nm of torque helps to heep that squat through the low to mid speeds during acceleration
Acording to the book stats the M140i has a 0-60 time 1.2 seconds faster than the cupra. Although I've seen draggy times on the stock cupra
290 as low as 5.4 seconds bringing the gap down to 0.8 seconds. Theya rent really comparable cars given the difference in drivetrain and gearboxes, still interesting to see their performance comparisons though.
The cupra is a lot cheaper and comes with a lot more kit as standard. worth losing a second on 0-60 for that.
