Hi,

I’ve somehow lost the Seat Belt Support Clip on the drivers side rear seat, does anybody know where I might be able to source one from?

Also on my parcel shelf I’ve noticed the left hand hook that the string clips on to is coming away from the plastic trim, is there any advice for fixing or replacing this?

Thanks in advance,
James.

Your local SEAT dealer will be able to order up a new seatbelt clip if it is available as a piece part.

The other issue, you either need to buy a new trim panel or drill - bond - screw the cord fixing back on.

Edit:- that second bit of advice is only based on what I needed to do to sort out my wife's previous Polo, so maybe not apply completely as described to Leon MK3.

Ah cool, will have to check that out!

That makes sense, is not completely come off yet, so will have to investigate what I can do to try and repair it. Thanks for the advice with that! It’s annoying it’s part of the trim, rather than a separate part as they used to be.

Yes, what sort of idiot designer makes the tray cords hanger part of the trim, I see on my wife's 2015 Polo that they are back to being plastic parts fixed into the steelwork of the hatch - so can be replaced.

Sorry too long ago to remember what I used, though the hanger on that car had come off completely before I was told about it and it was a simple peg sort of thing, so I drilled through its centre and into the trim, then applied some adhesive and long self tapper screw - and that sorted that for many year and beyond when we traded it in at 13 years old!

In your situation, I'd always look on this as being a "once" only repair, ie get it right the first time or need to do something else, so I'd use a strong structural bonding adhesive, what I used in that sort of situation, for another job (bonding parking sensors to the inner surface of a bumper skin) was an Araldite twin pack from Halfords, quite expensive I think, but did a very good job - doing that avoids using simpler cheaper and less effective adhesives and needing to repeat that repair. I've forgotten what that hook looks like on Leon MK3 but if there is scope to neatly reinforce that repair using small screws into the backing trim panel, then I'd consider doing that as long as it was done discretely.

Thanks for the information, it’s much appreciated, definitely something I’ll take my time with to make sure I get it right first time!
