Gave Seat CS a call directly for 1st time today. No updates or likely ETA’s. They confirmed I was wk48 (Cupra lux mag grey, ordered Aug) build and showing as ‘in production’ but the fire has caused delays and he is under the impression that dashboard production is still on hold.. probs best to forget about it until the New Year now..

Car is finally in the UK and dealer is expecting delivery 31st December and said I can also pick up this day..! Let’s see but I’m definitely getting excited now

I was meant to be week 48.. got told it was in production then got told like most people it’s been delayed so not a clue at the min

Mine was meant to be BW50, its now been pushed to BW2 in Jan

Seat UK Called me today just now. Unusual... since i have never called them.

Summarised below:

Hi Mr Meme,
Calling about your vehicle order, unfortunately there has been delays due to a fire at one of our third party supliers. Because of this any production has been on hold and as far as we can see, there has been no update in your car's status so we don't know whether it is currently in producetion, completed production or not started production yet. The factory has not released the information which they usually do on wednesdays. However, the factory is now closed until the 6th of January for Christmas break. We will call you again on the 6th to give you an update.
Also, once we know when what the real status of the car is, we would like to offer a good will gesture to maintain your faith in the brand.

They didn't say what the goodwill gesture was, but did ask if I had any expectations of the factory at this stage. Not quite sure what they meant by that so I said, not at this stage as we don't know what is going on with my car...

Unsure if this info helps anyone at all.

Called today and factory is **** for two weeks prob Friday

defo Jan at earliest,hey can’t even say it’s in production just that it’s code 20 still

I’ll call Friday but I think all they have done is get what they could out and will resume Jan which is why we all being fobbed off

I feel for you guys, shouldn't take that long, it's a damn Seat.

I ordered week 40. Got BW 45 shortly after. Car was built and ready at dealer week 48. Picked up week 49. So 8 weeks from order to delivery although we scheduled pickup the week after that.

Brillant car though and well worth the wait.

If I’d of known the Lux was an extra 5 years wait over the standard I’ve of gone for the standard one not worth the wait for heated seats an keyless entry!

Mines came off the boat at Tyne dock on the 23rd - SEAT UK messaged me directly for an early January delivery. Rarely see any of them in Scotland, so rather excited ha!

I wouldn’t be surprised if some of you other lads had a cupra come off the Pegasus Ace like mine, boat is massive.

If you come to Edinburgh you'll see loads of us. It's definitely not so rare here.

e-mail received from Zen this morning saying the ST300 I only ordered on the 30th of november is ready and awaiting delivery from the 9th of january, now I wasn't expecting that.
