The new Cupra TCR, track version of the Leon Cupra, also got a sneak preview yesterday. 360bhp 2.0l so only 10bhp more than the current TCR. From the small parts you can see it doesn't look like a huge change in body shape. Obviously it has the extra body panels stuck on being a TCR. Not a fan of the long Porsche style tail light though.

I suppose you can't really partially reveal the new one and expect people to order the old one unless there are awesome bargains to be had.
I think part of the reason you can't order a cupra or FR is because of the delays. Giving me the impression that they think they will still be building the current model cupras right up to when they reveal the mk4 cupra so they closed the orders early to reduce the increasing back log.

They won't want to be building mk3's when the mk4 cupra is released because it will increase the time it takes them to get their new shape out and about.

I didn't expect the MK4 Cupra until 2021. Usually around 6 months behind the standard models which launch Autumn next year.

Is that their "team" car, or is this a car you can buy as a track car?
A friend of mine is a GT driver and hes been gifted BMW's and Honda's in the past

It's the car you buy to race in TCR series. Various versions starting at £80k for the most basic.

I think the spec where it says 340bhp is wrong. The current has 350bhp and o read somewhere the new one has 360bhp.
Edit: It's 340bhp which is 10bhp less than the previous which is strange. Especially when the article states it improves on power???

1st post. Been waiting for my car since Aug, expected Dec delivery but now in same position as everyone else it seems! Cupra lux mag grey.. my current car goes back mid feb so hoping this doesn’t hit March...

Seat Pulman on 5th Dec;

"I have been chasing SEAT for updates all week on your car plus 2 others.
I am told that due to a fire at the dashboard supplier; Ibiza, Arona
and Leon production will be extended by approx. 1 week from the SLI
confirmed build week. This effects build weeks cw47 to cw51 and each
production week is due to Check Point 8 approximately 1 week later
i.e. cw47 confirmed production will be built in cw48

We are told that week 48 cars (week 48 is when your car was due to be completed) will still be here and deliverable for December, I can see that a ship "Pegasus Ace" is forecasted to leave on the 12th of December and expected at Port of Tyne on the 18th of December, so I am expecting/ hoping that it will be showing on this ship. As of yet SEAT have not confirmed this so I will let you know as soon as possible."

pulman today

"At this moment we have not been updated with the new eta’s
I have asked SEAT UK dealer support to request an update from the factory, I will let you know what they say when they reply."

I'm the same car mate. Took to Twitter after my latest "no update" from CS today. Pretty pig sick of it now. Digging the cancellation T&C's out tomorrow quite possibly.

Which Pulman dealership?

sunderland mate.. sick of chasing updates now.. when chasing seat directly do you just need to quote the order number dealership provided? Not that it will probs change anything..

Tempted to cancel but end of day happy with deal and want the car, I can hold on till feb but then I’ll need to also dig out t&cs as need a car!

I had a suspicion you were, I was in talking to Paul last week myself. You need the 8 digit number, starting 28* or 29* - once they have that it's all they need apart from your name etc.

It's just a timing thing I found... You have the opportunity to find out what their system says without Pulman.

I was in last weekend and was shown inside the system itself, our cars simply have no update. But no explanation why, how, etc...

Here's hoping. But hope is running out ATM.

Cheers mate, we must be two of three waiting.. I’ll chase seat myself as well then. Paul is spot on but I need to keep chasing for updates as he hasn’t proactively sent me any since my order...

Are the delays the same with the non-lux?
To be honest I can't complain. I ordered standard Cupra last October and got it March this year. Ordered again in Sept and will be getting Jan so it's been quicker on the 2nd order

Is everyone using momentum or shell v power?

I always use V Power which is an 8 mile drive from my house to full up so I plan my journey stopping that route. No Momentum within 25 miles of me so never able to obtain it.

Closest garage to me is BP (1 mile away) and I will fill up with Ultimate if pushed but soon to up with V Power.
