Right to say I’m p***ed off with Seat and this whole debacle is a f***ing understatement. Just received this from Motor Source.

“I’ve just received some more information from the dealership regarding your order.

Unfortunately there is a delay in the shipping and your vehicle hasn’t been assigned a ship number as of yet.

There is a ship leaving on 16th November however as your vehicle is yet to be assigned they cannot confirm if it will make this ship or not.

Once I have further information from the dealership then I shall of course let you know.”

Considering I order this f***ing car in June and it’s been sat in port at Barcelona for 3 weeks is a f***ing joke to now receive this.

I’m now worried about the build quality of Seat cars if their customer service is anything to go on. I’ve never had a Seat before and the Cupra was to be a midlife crisis treat. However this has now completely killed off any joy getting this car. They’ve even said no to offering any sort of goodwill gesture.

They’ve got tomorrow to sort this out and guarantee me my car will be on the next ship or my order will be cancelled. Then it’ll be back to searching for a new car from a reliable car manufacturer.

Phoned Seat and they've told me my car arrived at the dealer yesterday. Just got to wait for nationwide to schedule delivery now!
Could be a bit of a wait, seemingly it was mine, yours and 148 pals. Nationwide called the dealer and they are thinking they might finish the PDI’s by 15/11 with cars out for delivery the following week.
It’s definitely getting closer, but so slow.

I should’ve guessed it wasn’t going to be that simple.. There’s always something else to cause a delay

Looks like mine will be on the same boat. Seat CS advised me today that it’ll be around week 25/11 when the car will arrive in uk port. Then it’ll have to be transported to the dealer so no doubt a delay so could be the week after. However they said “around” that week. So it’ll probably be on the Pegasus Ace ship.

BTW my car has been in port at Barcelona for almost 4 weeks now!!

I ordered 3rd Sept from LO.

Was told end of Nov for delivery. Got my SLI and a confirmed BW42.

LO then advised dealer expected it on 25th Nov.

Call Seat CS on 22nd August and was told built and on transit. And 2-4weeks to arrive at dealership...

Called again today and same status 'in transit'.

Not arrived at exit port yet (was told this is most likely Barcelona). And was provided date of 18th November for into Grimsby. My dealer is in York.

If 18th is still a goer then 25th might be viable...

Although checking Pegasus Ace and Comet Ace these ships don't seem to stop at Grimsby so not sure what to think.

Hi all been following the thread since I ordered my Cupra Lux in white at the end of August and thought I’d share my story.

My car is being delivered to me 14th Nov as it’s now at the dealer awaiting PDI and transport and I can’t wait! Seems by reading a few of the posts I have been very lucky. Still yet to see a real life picture of the lux bucket seats.

I was assigned build week 42 so WC 14th October. Arrived at Sheerness last Wednesday. From working at a dealership myself where most our stock is supplied they are very good in turning it around quickly. Usually 1 week maximum from boat arriving at port.

On the other hand my partner has a Ibiza Excellence lux ordered same time as me but hers is still stuck at the Grimsby port and has been for at least 3 weeks, which is really poor. My guess is that quite a few of the Cupras are too and that’s why your delivery days are being pushed back.

Let’s hope your supplying dealer is south England and dock at Sheerness as that will knock a few weeks of the wait!

Let me know how it goes with LO
Biggest problem has been the conflicting information. They sent us an 11th Nov date weeks ago which was a few weeks after we expected it. We queried it with them and they came back with the original planned date again. The 11th is going to be about right in the end but we could have done without them telling us what we wanted to hear and then failing to deliver repeatedly in the meantime.

There was a **** up on my PCP lenders side which meant they couldn't verify my ID....

Long and short is that I've saved almost 2k in interest by a personal bank loan which I can overpay/end early with no penalty.

Lucky man! Did you go direct dealer/PCP/lease?

Did you get any status updates for being at port of exit / port of entry etc?

I'm hoping there has been a delay in updating the system and my car is still on track for me w/c 25th Nov!

Not quite. Update to follow tomorrow. It’s been interesting to say the least. SEAT UK involved. Can’t say more for now. Sorry to drip-feed.

Delighted you’re getting yours soon.

Could be the winner of the first one to receive a cupra lux race

Buying or leasing?

also how have they refused? £200 cheque, £250 to spend within vw group or a free service theyve offered me

I’m buying.

Again spoke to Seat CS today to raise complaint and again no offer of goodwill gesture. Even though they can’t guarantee my car will be on the ship due in tomorrow or even the one due in on 17th Nov

Mines on a lease. The leasing company were updating me with an ETA to dealer but it was getting pushed back constantly. After asking quite a few times I was finally able to get my SLI number so I could track the car myself. Their ETA was 23rd Nov to dealer which i'm guessing is to cover their backs in case of delay so yours could be similar to mine. I chased them as I knew mine was at the dealer.

Will be posting the pictures as soon as I get it next week!
