How many times has your date changed?
Well I ordered from Nationwide in June as they claimed it was an August delivery. Then it was delayed and the first date to supplier was the 16th October. Then I had the 21st October and then back to the 18th. Then pushed back to the 4th November and now the 25th November. I have no car and two young kids, I'm going to try and get details out of Nationwide today and then contact seat, if they cannot help then I am going to have to try and cancel as I have no confidence I will actually get the car. Too angry to phone them at the moment.

Exact same scenario. I ordered in June but my car is still at the port in Barcelona and Seat don’t know when the next transport ship is due!!

They are a complete joke, it's just a lottery as to when you get your car.

Your cars will be on either the Comet Ace or Pegasus Ace more than likely. If they’re at the port then there’s a good chance they’ll make it on there. Allegedly they carry up to 3000 cars and are literally like floating car parks.

Just had an email from Nationwide saying my car is now due at the dealer on the 25th Nov, WTF. If this is true then I think I'm going to try and cancel my order as this has gone beyond a joke. :censored::censored::censored::censored:
Sounds like our cars are in the same boat or port or car transporter, sorry gallows humor.

As your dates are almost identical to mine I assume you’ve signed the finance papers and the 14 day cancellation window has passed?
Fortunately I don’t have any kids relying on transport, but no car for over 2 months is getting me down.

Ring nationwide, ask for the supplying dealership, give SEAT the dealership and Reg plate, tell them you’re car less and not happy etc. Seemed to work for me yesterday, suddenly my delay had disappeared and the car was going to be delivered too me Monday.

Sounds like a case of someone not prioritising deliveries correctly.
I was reading a case at work the other day where a guy working in an ambulance command centre didnt reprioritse any ambulances during the course of his shift. Just logged in to the system and then sat scrolling through facebook for 8 hours and then clocked out. One particular person had called an ambulance after the call handler had arranged an ambulance suspecting the patient had sepsis. Ambulance was due to be there in 30 minutes, but because this guy didnt do his job, by the time the ambulance got there 8 hours later, the patient was dead. 3 people died on that guys shift.

Slightly unrelated, but there's people in the world that literally just dont care beyond their own little bubble. I've seen it at work before, people come to work and then just sit on their phones all day doing nothing. They don't usually last long once someone clocks on. I suspect somethign similar might be happinging somewhere in the nationwide supplay chain...

I got the order number from Nationwide and phoned Seat, seems that a transportation request has been raised so it "should" be with the dealer in 5-7 days time. She suggested I call back on Friday to see how it's going. I feel a bit better now I have the details to go direct to Seat, so I guess I will wait it out this week and see what arises.

Nationwide now seem to think it should arrive before Friday, although I'm taking that with a tiny pinch of salt.

I’ve been following this thread with interest for a while now... after what appears to be a flurry in build dates being confirmed I rang SEAT earlier.

I have a confirmed build week commencing 25th November, I ordered the 290 hatch in Nevada White (no options) beginning of September. I’m expecting delivery in Jan due to the holiday season. I need it by the end of Jan to replace outgoing car... fingers crossed!
