Ok so I have just called Seat CS again and have been advised mine will be with the retailer in the uk by the 9th October. Ordered via leasing options on 19th August Cupra Lux in Nevada White no options.
Yours was ordered the week after mine and you've been given a date in the UK a full month ahead of mine (290 Lux Mag Grey no options).

It's either split up by colour or they're feeding us duff info.

Are you both talking about ST or Hatch also ?

I’ve ordered through a Seat dealership as they had a good deal local to me. I ordered 16th August and my build week is 44 (28th October)- although not confirmed. Surely it is in the factories best interest to export as many cars as possible before the 31st October.

Also, I find it worrying how my dealership is as clueless as me and can’t really provide any useful information.

I’m new to leasing also as I’ve only had a PCP previously. So, did you guys sign a contract with whoever you have took a lease out with?

As with mine, I do not have to sign until I pick the car up (if I do after this annoyance). But I have had documents detailing agreed prices etc so surely this can’t change as I would then pull out, as I’m sure a lot of you also would.

I ordered a standard 290 Cupra hatch mag grey also.

So I ordered the exact same car on 12th J
Hoping to hear a confirmed buildweek soon.

So I ordered the exact same car as you on 12th July and I have been told my earliest build date is early November... that makes total sense!

Just ordered my Magnetic Grey Leon Cupra Lux!

6 Initial + £260.05 p/m (10k Miles) No Fee.

My only worry is the Kessy, can this be disabled?

I think it can, not sure on the process though. I have a lux but i just bought a steering lock to deter people, and also a faraday pouch to put my keys in. Blocks the signal from key to car. Cost between £5 and £10 on amazon.

This has all been well debated amongst us newbies and Lux orders

The summary is as follows

1.The My20 are suppose to have keyless sleep in that once the key stops feeling movement kessy is disabled to prevent key cloning.

2. If you lock the car with the key it disables keyless until the car is unlocked again with the key open button.(It May be a slightly diff combo of buttons)but effectively there is way where this works

If still worried I am now convinced to get Ghost Autowatch-This basically is an immobiliser which is undetectable and to start the car you have to input a code using buttons in the car- No code no start no theft.

Yes you can buy steering locks etc but they are an agg, unsightly and can cause damage being so clunky etc or do the above and have one.

This moved the convo onto people
Breaking in and options were ensure you have lights/alarm/cameras/big dog :)

Moving back to the topic it’s more evidence of us being told diff things and more to my theory of being fobbed off

I am in this pool of mag grey lux hatch orders and I spec the pano roof (unsure if that makes a diff) I was told October delivery and then November, then got BW 28th Oct and then 7th Oct and now no estimate

I’d like for someone who has ordered any UK My20 Cupra lux to advise if they have had a hardcore confirmed BW but Seat UK not a dealer or company because in my honest opinion I am now wondering if they are stalling everything because of brexit and MY20 cars won’t hit until the U.K. sorts itself out !!

Today I ordered a Nevada White - Leon Cupra ST 300 Lux with pano roof through LeasingOptions.

I was told around 12-14weeks lead time - so end of Nov/early Dec.

Was also told it would be around 5-7weeks before any update on this, once the factory comes back confirming the order.

I've been a VW/Golf fanboy for years, this is my first Seat, looking forward to it!

Anyone have an opinion on what the speaker set up/sound quality is like? Currently have Dynaudio in my GTD...

Cheers

I have just cancelled my order.

Leasing Options confirmed this when I asked about the excessive delay:

"It's the demand for this vehicle at the moment, also the WLTP certification has delayed things slightly also".

I need to look for a new car now, only wasted 7 weeks!!

I don't think (or hope!) Brexit is the reason for delaying...there would need to be a grace period. Especially for cars ordered prior to Brexit.

I imagine Seat would be keen to get cars built and out the door as quick as possible to make money.

Changing to MY20, WLTP and the demand is more plausible...at least for me.

Give me a few months and I might have a different opinion!

Why would the WLTP delay things? Were the WLPT rules not the same for the 19 plate productions earlier this year? Just curious

just rang Seat CS and although I haven't officially got a build date,The guy did say they are looking at getting all orders placed before the factory reopened, out to dealers in the UK for week 44 and that they are currently working through a backlog of orders and should have more build dates officially confirmed next week

When did the factory re-open?
