Wow I would be fuming about that

Ref the Lux I’ll be fuming about that to as I have ordered a lux with Pano roof July 10th

December would be a joke especially what I was told is delivery would be in October and they are rushing through UK orders

I was fuming. I said I wanted my processing fee back and I would potentially cancel my order. They have spoken to the dealer who is trying to speed up the order. We are going to wait and see what my build date is and take it from there. This is expected next week.

Sounds like they telling you what you want to hear,I was told it’s done on the basis of first come first serve except if your order is different it awaits that build.

I.e if there is 50 orders of standard in august they get a BW and also 15 non standard they may get a later BW or wait for more orders to make up the worth.

The sept orders will either make it or not into the same batch of August orders but only if it’s not already calculated in the build week if that makes sense. If not included they will end up in the next standard build likely after the first nonnstandard build lol

A few people seem to be involving the dealer as the middle man for updates. I wouldn’t bother doing that and just go to customer services directly yourself. There’s no way a dealer can influence production unless there’s a very specific and unusual reason which would need significant escalation up the chain at the plant.

In relation to the shut down - that’s normal over summer in the warmer countries but they are still operational on a skeleton capacity for essential maintenance and cleaning, along with order booking for when production commences again in a week or so.

I’ve been told today that since week 39 is now confirmed, that it won’t move from that now, and we can expect the car 4 or 5 weeks later at the dealers. Production through the assembly line takes 4-5 days apparently.

But who really knows how the story will unfold from now until then.

Yer I have been calling CS

So when did you order and what ?

I’m hoping mine will get in in that BW I think anything later that the next BW 40 has got no chance of pre brexit

Hi all.
I ordered back on 15th July, a Cupra hatch Lux.

I have been given estimated build date of 14th October with delivery expected in October... That seems a quick turnaround though? And it is not a confirmed build date still so feeling very uneasy around this 10 percent import tax. I would look to cancel if possible as I'm not forking out an extra 2300.

Let’s not start that

It’s similar time to what I have been told and we have been told they are getting UK orders done ASAP

How do you know it’s £2300 ? Surely nearly everyone is going to say no thanks and they will end up with lots of cars built and no buyers.

I want this car reallly bad !! But only because it was a great deal whack it up to nearly 25g plus finance and I may aswell get a golf R or buy an extension on my house lol

Just working on 23k based it being 10% of my purchase price for PCP.
The government stats say 10% is the agreed import fees for the class of vehicle that the Leon sits in.

You are right. Let's hope if the worse happens then SEAT will absorb costs.

And I was out the country for an extended period during the Brexit vote

Import charges would go off P11D value of the car.

The P11D value of the standard Cupra is £29,730 and £31,095 for the Lux.

This is obviously IF it happens.

Looking like we might be safe to miss any potential 10% import tax as have been told by Seat CS this morning that our standard mag grey Cupra (ordered in April..) was built and 'In transit' from factory last Friday 30th Aug. Apparently it's now sitting in port waiting for a ship to UK and estimated approx. 3 weeks to dealers. Fingers crossed.

The differences in responses here are crazy. Why doesnt a company this size have more transparent information? Would save all the guessing games!

Yet another story from Seat CS. Answered the phone with "Hola!"

I have an allocated BW, however he stressed it is not a confirmed BW, allocated. This is week 42.

He said there are two transports a month and it is scheduled to be on the transport at the end of October, so should enter the country before 31st October.

All of this means it has a date on the order to be available for collection from the dealer from 11th November.

He again stressed that this is as it stands now and assuming their are no issues at the factory or supplier issues.

So I just phoned Seat CS.... wait for this....

I was told the earliest build date at the moment for my car is early-mid November.. WTF!!!! I actually had to ask him twice because I just couldn't understand it....This is for a standard Cupra ordered on the 12th July through Leasing Options.

I can't wait until mid December, it's an absolutely ridiculous wait time considering I don't have a car! Going to be calling LO tomorrow to look into cancelling. [:@]

Is this with no options at all, just a bog standard spec Cupra? If so, seems very strange. I can understand cars with options taking longer.

I've been on the bandwagon too...

Originally given this week as BW, now they told me it starts in the "next couple of weeks" and expected to be here late October. No confirmed BW though.

Mag Grey 290 Lux - FWIW. Although zero trend is occuring!!!
