I've wrapped the shiney black plastic bits in my car with carbon fibre:

Thinking of doing this now..... but not sure if it would be too much, as I've already done the vents and air con panel. I was going to use the same as I used on the vents, only with the weave going the other way. So it looks like two separate panels. Or maybe a slightly different weave??

Anyone got any thoughts, please?

Very nice, mine is red too and I may just have to steal your idea!

Also I like how the phone case matches the interior of the car too ;)
Thanks @Sword.
If you do decide to do yours.....
I found I had to separate the driver's vent and the bit round the central vents and then gluing back together. See pic below. That might just be me as I had trouble getting the wrap into the gap without tearing it. The bit round the gear lever just pushes out from the back.
Thinking of maybe doing something with the silver trim on steering wheel, but don't really want to remove the airbag.
;)
To be honest, it never occurred to me that the phone case matched as well!! :)

I will defo be doing mine.

Luckily I have plenty of practise with wrapping so it should be ok.

The bits on the steering wheel would look really good done as you say but messing about with the steering wheel is a recipe for disaster!

Will post some pics of mine when I get it done! Thanks for the tips :)

I wrapped the small bit at the bottom of my steering wheel the other week. Going to redo it as not happy with the result, but it's relatively easy to do:

I would heat the film before applying it so it goes all stretchy and then apply it, using a surface to stick one side of the film will help it from curling back on itself, not sure if you tried that already, it would avoid the need for any joins.

It's a hard shape to pull off but a good look

I did heat it up abit, like you said the shapes a pain, but going to try again when I get chance with one piece.

Looks good to me. I was thinking of doing the silver bits red.
Did you have to remove the airbag to get that bit off?
No need to remove airbag, it un-clips from the edges, and has 2 prongs that go in under where the airbag bit is. A bit fiddly to remove and replace, but can be done without removing it.

Cool. I'll give that a go. I assume the silver bit will come out once the black is removed
