Cupra (2019) Multimedia modifications

Hello Guys,

I'm new here .. so hello

I own a Cupra 2019 and I wanted to know \ ask few things:

1. How can i update the multimedia system, and is it necessary at all ?
2. How can i change the theme of it ? if it even possible ?
3. The car came without navigation system Can i install it ?
4. I connect my phone (Apple Car) can i display the maps of google maps \ apple maps on digital cockpit ?

Hello, welcome. I think the answer to the first 3 questions is Yes, but others will be able to give more details better than I can.

Q4: the short answer is no. I believe the forthcoming ios13 does allow for manufacturers to show apple/google maps etc on Digital Cockpit.
But, not sure whether that's just a software update, or something else. And, not sure SEAT/Cupra would be updating given MK4 timing.

Very unusual not to have navigation on a 2019 Cupra unless it's an option in Israel. If your unit has a Nav button then it may be possible for the dealer to enable it, if it doesn't have Nav button then you can't have navigation enabled.

I had a recollection that someone had managed to do this - but might be mistaken.
Best option is probably using Google/Apple maps through Apple CarPlay.

Well, yep.. In israel they don't have the Nav inside.. I do have the button. My multimedia on the glove compartment contain 2 slots for SD Card.
when i click the button - it displayed: "No nav database system"

I am using Waze or Google maps...
Is there any way to display those on the digital cockpit ? Using apple car ?

I dont believe you can use any non standard app in the digital cockpit. Waze will only display on the multimedia screen.

That's right. My comment above was about internet reports that Apple will introduce this Carplay feature in ios13 (not officially released yet). Naturally, that doesn't guarantee that SEAT will develop that functionality. So, not at the moment - possibly in the future.

Try USB cable and android auto / apple carplay.
If that works then you are good.
