Wow! Sounds like you dropped seriously lucky there mate considering some of the lead times on here. I'm hoping going direct aids my cause but I'm not optimistic at this stage as the communication has bee pretty poor from SEAT so far. I know it's in the UK but that's all I know.Yeah! It went from speaking to SEAT regarding its progress being told it was in the UK. A couple of days later I got a call saying asking when I wanted it. Had to work some magic at work to get GTD sent back 4 weeks early because it’s killing me knowing it’s ready to roll.
Ordered mine through gateway2lease and they’re brilliant. I’ve read so many stories on here about crap service, but these have been absolutely faultless. Alison Hunter has been amazing.
Also I had a call today from a nice guy saying it was literally on its way for delivery and I had to put it back as I’m away for the weekend

It’s here! Arrived at 8:30 and the guy had it washed for me. I’m sat at work counting down the seconds to my lunch break as I wrote this. Ha!

Oh mate that is brutal. One of the few off putting things about getting something from new. Seriously don't know how people do this regularly. My 1st new car experience and I've found the waiting unbearable.Nice one - I ordered 3 weeks ago and still no build date
Ive just had an email update from my dealer re the Cupra R ST. I have attached a screenshot of it to the post so you can see word for word what he has said - as i still don't know what it actually means in terms of getting the car. It speaks of being 'allocated' into the dealers stock week commencing 3rd June, but there is no mention of what happens next or where the car is !!!
From what I can tell, they have secured me the car which is the one with the Sunroof and is called the 'Auto-issued unit' on that email. The dealer has then ordered a 2nd car without sunroof for their showroom.

Indeed, no clue of what even to expect as this stage! I've emailed a few times but still awaiting a build week.
I reckon 12-16 weeks is going to be the overall time frame. Although I was told 8-10 weeks when ordered!
Oh well, just need to sit tight and hope for the best!
Fortunately it's a car worth waiting for, but up to 4 months is crazy. I'll be hoping the best for you here mate, hopefully you'll get nearer to the original lead time.
Finger's crossed! If it's 12-16 weeks I will be leaving 2 fat black tyre marks on the forecourt
Got a video of my Cupra from the dealer with the skirts fitted, so I've taken some stills from it as don't think vids are allowed here. Apologies for the quality. Car is looking great but looks like you've got bad weather in the UK at the moment from the video.
No idea why it doesn't have centre caps on the wheels and hope they remember to fit these before delivery.

I know, when i ordered at the end of march i was told expected delivery date would be end of June. It didnt bother me / i didnt think about much at first, as i knew i just had to wait. But since i was told it was built and it was in the uk i've become very inpatient now lol.
The theft stories have unsettled me a little, but i've had performance cars before and had no issues (EVO 9, E46 M3) but with having a lux with keyless entry etc i've took precautions and bought a faraday pouch for the keys and a milenco steering lock. Never felt the need for a steering lock before but i just want to play safe.
Roll on next week!!
