I just did Blyton Park last Saturday 27th and despite the rain and wind, it was great fun! But it's certainly tough on brakes (unless that was just my set up?)

So good to see multiple LCR’s out together.
Great day. Good group of guys.
Superb weather once again.
Made some quick expensive cars look pretty slow in places.
Top laugh.
Cooked and warped front discs but well worth it.

Very smart, love the pics and i bet there was a great soundtrack to go with all these MK1's on the track.
Sorry to hear about your disk's but would be interested if you could update the other thread about if they can be skimmed and used again.

That’s life I guess. Did get 5.5 trackdays and 5000road miles from the discs so not upset.
Seems everyone there pretty much killed their brakes. M tec faired no better.
Lots of high speed to hairpin braking zones etc.
As you know.
I will see if skimming is possible in the discs but will happen after purchasing and fitting some new improved versions first.

First time not only at Blyton but on track (I was drag racing previously!) booked again for May which is a couple of different circuit layouts compared to last time.

Yes I see they do different circuits I have only ever done the outside one. The reason I asked was simply because (And I am a novice driver) I took my daughter to Blyton and i have a bit of kit that tells me temps of Tyres as well as brake disks, On a couple occasions at the start of the day when I compared my disk temps to my daughters there was a big difference, later on in the day they came together.
I put this down to the fact i had been on the track before so did not use the brakes as much but by the end of the day we got very close.
Anyway welcome to the mad world of track driving, its addictive.

We do try and get together, I have met up with @Sparkie and I know he has met up with @vwtrev.
I did speak to Blyton Park about hiring the track for a day but could not get enough interest so did not pursue it and to be fair for this group they limit the private hire to only 6 cars on track at any one time.
But you should check out #TeamCupraR on facebook there are a lot of MK1 guys on there who love to race.

meet for a trackday recently.
About 7 mk1’s made it. Good laugh.
Will be doing more.

Bedford Autodrome is our track of choice for entertainment and distance but we do others too.
In fact looking at a MSVT event there on 1st of July £159
Open pit lane.
It’s got huge run off areas so nothing to hit If you spin.
Also 3.9 miles so loads of free tarmac.

Dude. Bring anything. My pals drive a 30 year old CRX V tec ( lots of mods)and a BMW estate. Once we book it up I’ll ask others on TCR if they want to join in too. .
