The IS38ETR is the Revo stage 3 turbo upgrade (which requires a different size pipe from memory)

IS20 & IS38 I am guessing is the stock turbo (on the 1.8 and 2.0)

That makes sense, so I'm safe to buy the IS20 & IS38 version? I'll do some deeper research just to make sure before pulling the trigger, got a month or so until I've paid the last little bit off this car but then... it's no holds barred!

Also, I've seen mentions of some kind of 'spacer' that goes somewhere that reduces wheelhop and supposedly makes the car feel way better to drive. Anyone know what I'm on about and can explain it to me?

Think it may have been called 'dogbone' but this also may be a completely different part.

I'll apologise now, I've only just gotten into cars a few months ago!

No problem check out https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/dog-bone-mount-again.447381/ re this, it will make a big difference to the cars power delivery but you also need to have good rubber.

Be warned there are two different types so if you are buying one make sure the get the correct one.

Are you planning to stay at stage 2 or are you going to 3 afterwards, all I would say is if 2 is your goal great if three then don't bother with 2 go straight to 3 saves spending money on tune that you will replace.

Originally I was planning on stage 1 + mods which won't need to be replaced for stage 2...

But with what people have been saying, the performance difference going to 2 is not worth the money and work whatsoever if I don't plan to go to 3 - and I never really was considering 3, no.

So basically, it sounds like I'll be doing some kind of stage 1+, just a map and some minor mods (catback exhaust, not expecting a performance difference, turbo inlet pipe, air filter)

Thanks for the link mate, I'll give it a good read. As for rubber, well... :bleh:

I started a massive debate over budget rubber in my first thread asking for mod ideas, as it was running on the cheapest bargain bin rubbers money can buy. I've since put Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3s on the front two, but my rears are still the crap ones. I'll get around to replacing them (£300 for 2 corners).

Just looking at stage 1 revo, air filter, tip, uprated clutch(makes manual) and may be a splitter. Just nice a subtle really.
