Its a Leasing Options one. Maybe there is only one car and they are going to tell us we have to fight/draw straws/other differentiating factor for it!

Certainly hope not. I could actually drive past there tomorrow if I really wanted to I am passing York but the upper side of the ring road is awful and they are just off it.
Leasing Options seem to like using DM Keith so it does look like 4 turning up tomorrow. The question now is who out of the 4 of us will pick up first, I'm guessing it will take them a couple of days to PDI etc before they are ready for collection /delivery.

Well I would imagine mine will be most convenient to deliver since I am only 35 miles away. But that will be Leasing Options problem rather than the dealer. Once I get confirmation it is there I am asking if I can collect if it improves when I can have it (I know sometimes organising delivery can delay the car)

We're currently a year into our first lease, an Arona SE Tech with DSG, which is due back this time next year, and am very interested in the current deals on the Cupras but am worried they won't be around in 6 months time when we need to start thinking of ordering a replacement.

I have some questions mainly for the leasers out there.
What's the current average wait for a Cupra Lux factory order ?
From peoples experience generally how far in advance can you place an order for a lease car and the dealers be prepared to hold it for you ?
Is it true that the latest model is likely to be the last Leon Cupra that Seat make before a replacement comes out next year ?

Having owned a couple of Leon FRs before, mk1 petrol and mk2 diesel, both with DSG, I'm keen to drive the latest Cupra for a couple of years before electric cars spoil the noisy fun !

Where abouts in the country do you live @JD7ALI? Also, has your leasing company confirmed who the dealer is? I live in Sheffield and as we've deducted there are 3 turning up at DM Keith York but I've seen in other threads that JCT600 Bradford serve our area as well. If it is being processed by DM Keith, I would love to be there tomorrow when 4 absolute identical cars come off that car transporter.
I live in the North West, not far from Preston. Going off previous posts I assumed it would be DM Keith, although leasing options have not confirmed this with me. As long as it arrives at some dealership tomorrow, I'm not too bothered!
As others have said, once confirmed I too will probably ring and see if I can get the car picked up by my family transport service, instead of waiting for them to arrange delivery.

My order has taken around 10 weeks from order to the dealer (should be with them tomorrow). Previous posts talk of anything between 10 and 16 weeks, it does seem the ST takes slightly longer than the 5 door, perhaps an ST owner could advise. Mine is a 5 door and can't comment on how long the dealer would hold it but be aware within this thread there was somebody who suspected the dealer had given his car to somebody else as he wasn't ready to take it due to an existing lease that hadn't quite expired.

When was your Build Week buddy? As mine has been offloaded at Grimbsy for almost 2 weeks now, wondered when the dealer will get it. Once it's off the ship it becomes hard to track!

Asking due to same broker etc.. :)

Your's can't be this week as its not magnetic grey! :bleh:

Have Leasing Options not been giving you fairly regular updates on when it is due to the dealer?

I think mine was built mid to late Feb and is due at dealer this week. I was told 26th of Feb that it was on the ship so it will have been sat there a while.

Haha! Has to be one black sheep in with the crowd!:rocker:

Yea they have, but i also I have an open dialogue with SEAT customer services who have been giving me my updates. The problem is they get vague once its been offloaded and assigned a dealer pick up. From then to the dealer is any ones guess!

I'll annoy LO later today as if i can run up to Leeds to grab it and tell them ill save the dealer arranging a delivery, hopefully this would speed it up! Not fussed either way, just want it ASAP due to being car-less now!

It's probably York it would be where the car goes.

Thing with VAG and the collecting cars from the UK port is that it is very vague full stop. My last two cars which were both VAG you know exactly when it gets into the UK, then for some inexplicable reason they are unable to tell you when a lorry is coming to pick it up! All 3 so far have averaged about 3 weeks at the port.

Thanks Ebygum.

It's the hatch I'm interested in, but if the price is right would not rule out the ST. They seem to be coming in quite a bit dearer at the minute though.

I'll probably just have to be patient and keep an eye on deals meantime and hope something similar's still available in 6 months or so.
Meantime I'll speak to a dealer directly and get an idea of how long they're prepared to hold cars back.

I have just ordered a lease Cupra Lux for September 2019 delivery through Leasing Options (as my current lease goes back then). They had to get authorisation from Seat to delay it this long, so I reckon 5/6 months is about as long a delay as you'll get. Other lease companies wouldn't let me do this and said it had to be a May/June delivery.

Hasn't there been some delays introduced recently though? I thought a lot of the April cars have been put back to May/June according to earlier in this thread?

My lease with Leasing Options was on a 5 door Lux, 8k miles per year and it was 23x £252 plus £1,512 deposit, giving a total of 7,308. No ma

Mine was BW7 and arrived in the UK on the 28th Feb. SEAT customer services said it would be with the dealer w/c 11th March which then went to 19th March and ultimately should now be delivered tomorrow (fingers crossed). You would think in this modern hi-tech age the tracking process would be a bit slicker and they would have a customer portal so you can track progress. Perhaps I should lower my expectations :(

Thanks JonnyG, handy to know.

I've fired off a quote request via What Car leasing asking the question about delivery delay but I suspect I'll need to leave it 6 months before we can order. Just hope the deal's as good then.

Got an update today from SEAT, my Cupra has arrived at Grimsby Port and is awaiting being loaded onto a transporter, said it usually takes 5 - 7 days to arrive at the dealer but could be up to 2 weeks. Fingers crossed I can get delivery arranged over the easter break!! :)

That's interesting, earliest mine ever was supposed to be was 18/03 but must have arrived in UK same time as yours give or take a day or two. But I have now been told early this week.

I agree with TomScrut, ours will have taken almost 4 weeks to get transported to the dealer, though allegedly some of the delay is being attributed to the recent storms which resulted in cars being off-loaded at a different port, this caused extra work for the car transporters. Not sure I really believe that update but you have to ride it out (pardon the pun)
