Morning all,

Just got a call from the garage suggesting that the 3 month old bush from SuperPro is creaking like mad (the reason it went in) when he puts it up on the ramp he can push the bush (Left side only has the issue) and hears it creak loudly.

Now spoken to Awesome GTI who I got it from (Very helpful people) who suggested I contact SuperPro directly to see what they can do but I assume with this sort of thing I won't get far as it's a creak and not a physical fault so to speak...

Anyone else got this issue from their anti lift kit? If so were they able to get it sorted either through a new set or some other means?

Guy in the garage says the bush looks in great condition (only 3 months old) and would be fine to drive with but every time I go over any bumps slowish it gives out a very loud noise lol

Any ideas welcome

Cheers

My WALK is exactly the same, car sounds "a bit chewy" as by wife said. I checked it all over and could find no other issues that might cause it. I've also seen a few other comments about them various creaking ALKs.... I would think the answer would be the remove and grease up the parts that can be greased refit and try again. beyond that im at a loss...

I should add a few people have reverted back to OEM as they can't cope with the noise... I just turn my stereo up. lol.

That sucks lol yeah the Awesome GTI guy said to grease it up but the garage said you'd have to grease it every so often which isn't ideal or by design... I have email SuperPro but I doubt i'll get anything or if I have to send them back they will say it's fine and charge me for them...

So do I go stock again and take the loss lol the noise is awful! I thought it was just internal noise but I opened the window and it's loud lol

Just had a reply from SuperPro @Sharpy

Hi

Can you please confirm the grease used on the bushes at installation and also if there is any damage or visual explanation for the creaking e.g. spilt in bushing or any excessive movement.

Regards.

My WALK came with a small sachet of grease. In some ways im not surprised, they are parts more designed for track / race cars and they often sound like a bag of spanners. lol

Another follow up...

We supply specially formulated silicone grease with all of our parts, we employ a knurling design inside all of our bushes to trap the grease and keeps the bush / tube lubricated.

I have found where garages have used copper grease (with metal filings in the content) it can cause premature wear and unwanted creaking.

Best Regards.

Nick.

Yeah, I'm confused. Cause don't we have the same kit? Mines been on for over a year and I have no issues.
My thoughts exactly lol you didn't grease yours up did you? A company will try and get away with anything they can to save money but I have no proof that grease was in the box in mine... I saw shiny things and just left it for the garage to fit.

I'm pretty sure mine were lubed. Weird how only one side creaks.
