Big engine oil leak

Hey people.
Got a problem that you guys will probably be able to help me with.
I was driving my 1.4 16v petrol seat Ibiza yesterday to Swindon down the a419 cruising with no problems what so ever.
I get to my exit towards Swindon and I have to stop at a roundabout. I put the car in first gear and carried on when I had the chance. As soon as I got to 10mph my oil light started flashing and beeping. Obviously not being able to stop, I carried on slower with my hazards on to my final destination. When I get there, I open my bonnet to find that my engine didn’t have any oil whatsoever because it was all over my engine bay.
From what I could see, I think it’s coming from the oil pressure sensor. However, where the oil is now on top of the gearbox, it doesn’t make sense for it to be leaking out of the oil pressure sensor. Any ideas or advice for the cause will be much appreciated

So, a BBY engine code I’d expect, oil pressure switches have been know to fail and leak, you need to get the oil level back to nearly max and run the engine and see where it is leaking from.
