Mrs Wilson was particularly impressed with her fuel consumption yesterday, on a short trip through the roadworks on the M6 to Crewe. Personally I didn't think this mpg was possible in a 300 ST 4 Drive!

I struggle to manage that in my 'new' Volvo V40 1.5T. It must be the most un-economical 1.5 auto engine ever....my previous Ibiza 1.0 EcoTsi and Leon 2.0TDI, I would routinely get close to 60mpg on a similar trip.

Can anyone else see a face (with handle bar moustache) within the front wheel in IMG3760 or is it just me thinking of the YMCA too much?

also... looks good :)

It now does look like a face if you imagine the brake bell inside the rotors/discs as eyes yeah lol

Yeah I would not expect the pistons to be 'sucked' back all the way into the caliper.

Not ideal, maybe worth taking it into an independant VAG Specialist. Where are you based?

I'm in South Yorkshire but the car has a warranty with Lookers, if I'm to take it to one of their Seat dealers the nearest is Stockport

Hi
The car been in seat solihull today because satnav screen work itself. Change radio channels and satnav.Well know problem. Not for seat.
Car come back 2 hours later they cant change unit now but reported to seat.
The reverse camera stop working but they turn on start-stop again.
Another 1 hour they tried to turn on the camera no luck reported to seat again.
I just had 5 mins later evening and with vagcom turn on camera without issue.
I had same experience with mercedes but feel ridiculous all dealer and service same...
I take the car to service and fix myself at home after they broke.
I had to pay insurance for courtesy car which again a joke.Never paid for mercedes however i had courtesy car for 3 months total.

What a croc of shite.
The whole point of hydraulic disc brakes is that they self adjust.
From brand new pads down to 0.5mm of pad left - the pads do not retract any further

Thanks for this

I noticed the work report issued states the pads are only 60% worn so there should be many miles left in them. I wonder whether this electronic bleed method means its effective for a quick fluid change but they don't even consider how the pedal feels or make any adjustments

By electronic bleed - what they generally mean is bleeding the brakes with a computer plugged in to assist getting air out of the ABS pump.
You don't generally pedal bleed modern systems - you vacuum bleed them.

@Norbett can you not change dealer as it seems you have another one of those that do not understand cars.

I feel waste of time to go any dealer.
Vw same crap and nissan even worst.
Kids know cars better around than professional service people.
One good experience with bmw. They fixed the car without trouble.
I do everything on cars but getting old enough to let them do warranty jobs.

Agreed but i have been lucky and found a good local vw specialist who know there stuff and do a good job. Local SEAT dealers are rubbish.

Noticed a strange noise today, seemed to be coming from under the rear passenger seat, which makes me suspect it’s the fuel
Pump. I’ve never really noticed it before and it is only really noticeable now when idle, after the car has warmed up and the exhaust has quietened. Has anyone else had experience with a possible noisy fuel pump on a cupra 280?

The fuel pump is part of the Fuel Delivery Unit. If you lift the rear seat cushion the top of the Fuel Delivery Unit is visible on the right hand side. You can get your ear close to check for noise.

If you do find a 280 ST on a OEM exhaust with a Res Delete, could you please take a video and share?? I would be very interested to hear it. I have a a 280 ST and NEED more noise but cant justify the outlay for a cat-back system at the moment.

Thank you
I had a res delete fitted to my 280 ST about a month ago and have found it quite underwhelming. Rest of the exhaust is standard but on a Revo stage 1 map.
There is no additional drone, fast upshift farts are slightly louder and crackling from closed throttle only happens in Cupra mode or gearbox sport mode occasionally.
