Hope this may help, this is the method I did to unplug mine.

Top left (driver side) you’ll see the sound Aktor behind the black plastic mesh.
1, Remove the foam 1st
2, Remove the Plastic plug as in pic this will release the black plastic mesh I then wedge the plastic mesh up enough to reach the cable plug.

Hopefully this will help you unless you’ve got man size finger unlike my girly hands haha.

Job done!

Quick update to my post yesterday after a spirited bit of driving I kept it in cupra mode heading home from work so everything was nice and hot. I had the radio on but turned it up off when I heard for the first time a proper bang or 2 from the exhaust. Absolutely loving it I drove up a road with a wall running parallel to the road and sure as hell on every downchange it was popping and as it slowed itself down without me braking was nice loud pops and crackles. I'm happy with that.

Got my Carista today and turned the Sound-Aktor off completely, had already heard a few pops and bangs when in sport but went for a sprited blast in Cupra mode and now i can hear the engine over the sound aktor it sounds excellent, plenty of pops and bangs

Why Seat would want to mask that engine with Fake Noise I have no idea, It may be horses for courses but I would wholly recommend getting it turned off !

This might be a really stupid question so don't laugh but how do you get that plastic plug out? Is it just a case of pulling it out? Don't want to break it trying to force it out.

I can confirm that my manual 300 does pop a lot... see below.

I do have an induction and resonator delete though. If anyone is looking to beef up their exhaust sound then I would defo recommend a res-delete :)

Hi mate,I have the same car and now done 2,5k miles and the exhaust note is certainly better.maybe hold out a while see how it develops, then maybe a Res delete.
The exhaust has changed though and now has a gpf which complicates things... If you scout some of the threads on here you will find discussions on this, just making u aware so u don't go ahead and order the part and it be wrong like many have.

Sounds daft but put the engine in eco mode using individual settings then shift the gearbox into sport it turns off the soundacktor you will hear the exhaust more. I'm on 1200 miles now and it does sound a bit louder but still gonna get a res delete when it becomes available.

By the looks of the 5 door exhaust system with GPF, a res delete is possible. It’s the ST that’s going to be problematic and more a back
Box delete.

Is this totally stock? And can you hear the pops from the cabin?

I also have a 68 plate cupra lux with GPF and someone from the cupra Facebook page has sold me a res delete saying this part will fit my car? Please tell me this is true and I haven’t just bought a res delete that won’t fit my car...

What do you mean by wrong part? Someone sold me a Vag sports res delete from the cupra Facebook page hope this fits...

Unless he's had a custom built res delete to fit the new exhaust with a gpf, I'd say its not going to fit
