Heres the question though, would you rather have coppered cupra and 7 speed or non coppered cupra and 6 speed

Non coppered and 6 speed for me. I hardly do motorway driving. Would like the winter pack tho

Also, any news on wk42 onwards winter packs? I have my case manager checking on the winter pack, and internal changes now... (stitching etc..)

Those interested with a confirmed build date or those who have progressed further can call up and check.

It seems mines only recently changed to a 7spd since I received the confirmed build week. It was still a 6spd whilst the build date was an unconfirmed build week.

However it is *week 42* and they may have only just received the technical data.

Bring on the copper!!

Glue and a pump unless you've paid for seat sound. The upgrade needs a spare wheel to sit the sub woofer set up in.

Didn't think it would carry 290 badge until I saw yesterday just expected the flag. TBH I think I would have preferred just the flag.

Looking forward to the copper now, have convinced myself it'll look good on mine. Only colour I'm not convinced with is Red.

They're not waiting for all these pre week 42 builds to be delivered first are they?

Doesn't really make sense as they're now taking orders again.

You can have a laugh when I pick up my Desire Red BW42. I’ll get dealer to send some photos to me or go and inspect it myself the moment it arrives at the dealer. At least it’s a new gearbox even if it does look shocking - might be why they are afraid to release the images!

I think even then they might just supply a foam insert to fit in the wheel well?

Definitely rather have the new copper and 7 speed. I actually don't mind the copper (think it will actually look pretty good on my urban silver). And if we also get the winter pack.....

I reckon their information is so unreliable I might ring up BMW and find out what gearbox is in my car

Sounds like the technical data has finally come in

I wonder if when they updated the data for the gearboxes in the SLI for MY19 it updates all (including those there were manually updated to MY19 build week 38 -41)

Sounds like we're going to have to wait for more deliveries to be sure.

Confident about post week 42 now though.

Fingers crossed for all those pre week 42 for winter pack and DSG7.

Nevada White
Chrome badges
Original digital dash (No centre rev counter option)
Red calipers,
