I wouldn’t take that as true yet as i bet there isn’t the 7speed option to list, i cant believe that the emissions for an 6 and 7 speed would be the same, surely the emissions aren’t calculated by not moving, i thought is was co2 per km
It’s VW group... emissions are decided by committee..

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but mine has arrived in the UK with 6 speed DSG

At this stage I'd still be waiting until I saw it.
The SLI hasn't been updated yet.
The post week 42 builds still say 6spd.
If they're going to update the SLI it'll be from sometime this week.

They haven't sorted brochures or website yet... there's still hope.

Its interesting how the 290 guys don't know if its 6 or 7 speed, yet the 300 ST is 6 speed - they've made such a mess of this SEAT, they really have
My best guess is that those pre-week 42 builds have a 6-speed as was ordered (hence why we were all waiting on homologation data as they were tested individually) and post BW42 will be 7-speed. I won’t be overly unhappy with that though as I’ll know what gear I’m in...having driven the 8-speed ZF boxes you just have to leave it in auto as you never really know what gear to be in!

That’s my thought, plus the sites that have started listing the post wk42 models (France etc) have the 7 speed listed.. surely they wouldn’t update to say 7speed if it hadn’t been confirmed.

Not correct.. the 290 is lower and the 300 hasn’t been updated. That’s the old, pre-WLTP figure
Sorry, yes - the 290 does not show the co2 numbers but the 7sp 300 did show 164g - an overdrive gear (not fancied by many of those on the forum I take it) should surely reduce the co2 output? Not sure...

Does anyone who already owns a cupra dsg have a rough idea on the economy difference between running in normal or cupra mode?

I watched a YouTube vid of a guy with a Golf R and it was only about 1.5mpg difference between eco, normal and race, but that was a manual rather than DSG.

I've just asked Phil @ IMG for my screenshot ;)

EDIT: he says he doesn't know how you've received that and he can't give me a screenshot but my car is on the Pegasus Ace

Simple answer is NO

I would suggest its more about how you drive than the mode, I get between 12 and 38mpg depending on my right foot.

Cupra mode on my car set's the DSG into Sports mode (although my dsg is mapped) but you can if you so desire go manual or into normal or eco all of those things will impact your MPG again depending on your right foot.

But if you drive it hard and fast you will drink fuel (including the new 7 speed).

I’m so anxious to see what all this copper malarkey is actually going to look like. I wish they’d just send the dealer some photos or something so I can get the complaint in early rather than throw my toys out the pram on collection day

Seriously?

I'm thinking there may be some 'interesting' conversations on handover days in SEAT showrooms around the country shortly.

I am wondering how much of the new Cupra Ateca we will be seeing in the 2019 ST 300 - I actually think that grey goes with the copper but please pelt me with rotten tomatoes by all means https://www.seatcupra.net/index.php...er-books-open-price-starts-at-35900/#comments

I think the copper only really works with grey and black, like the two Cupra R options.
Strong case build for white as well after seeing the CUPRA Ateca and CUPRA Ibiza.

As there was no mention of copper rims, wing mirrors or intakes the exterior with the contrasting white, black and minimal copper could well work for the Leon.

What I meant was the pictures they had used for promo..
Fair enough mate..
The grey and black certainly works best on the CUPRA R's.

Think the Red Ateca looks the worst out of the bunch, but it's the copper rims that really let it down. Looks like the silver ones can be spec'd instead of.
