So some stats for next year to beat.

We had 13 cars photoed (hopefully none others missed)

1 Mk 1 Leon
5 Mk 2 Leon
7 Mk 3 Leon

Be nice for next one to get a few more cars along and maybe nearer to blackpool as @Maypack did say there is a very nice Hotel on the outskirts with a large carpark we could use.

12 people managed to sit down in a pub and have a meal - the paying at the end was weird but food and company were good

According to my Mancunian friends the weather was good enough for tea shirts and sun bathing and coffee shop was ok when it rained.

There were lots of people on walking trips who looked at us very oddly - don't think they are used to car shows.

1 Audi Driver decided he wanted to break up the party because he could not park his car and the Honda Man gave us something to smile about.

3 of us stayed overnight and got a free bottle of wine and biscuits (that breakfast)

Looking forward to the next meet

Guy at the end as we were leaving parking his car, then got out to help his mrs park it but wanted us out of the way.

And there was the Range Rover guy who we all watched get his big beast out of a small space.

BMW just did not get that this line was for Seat owners, so inconsiderate.

How do you actually get access to the side light? I tried the other day... couldn’t reach it.

Was a good meet :) great people and cars. Nice to put names to faces and cars.

I think next time we all need tshirts on with our forum names.

I hope the people who stayed over didn't cause too much havoc around Castleton

Thanks to @theoldboy for arranging and bringing it all together.

@Legojon - are you sure you don't want anymore stickers?

They were a pain in the bum hole but I think one side is easier than the other so it's worth doing that one first to get the gist of it... I think it's drivers side...

I just pulled of the rubber and grabbed it from under the drl light which maybe different on yours if you don't have a drl lol

I tried the drivers side first couldn’t get near it... so I gave up. Lol. Never mind I’ll figure it out at some point.

Might be different... but as @Jimbobcook said, I removed the rubber moisture cover. Shoved my hand in, wiggled some cables till I saw the sidelight bulb move then yanked. It's pretty much just resting in there.

And my last post on this thread (well maybe)

@Legojon saw this on the way home and thought of you

Went and looked at the sign and the tractor has a name as well

And I know in your neck of the woods all the roads have white lines but here is a pic of a road in Lincolnshire (good one as it happens), I guess local authorities save money by not putting down white lines :) but you can at least do 70 on it (or is it 50 when the crash barrier is a dyke on each side)

:roflmao: I'm actually having a panic attack looking at that picture!! After the tyre rubbing the wheel arch 3 times on the way home (once on the way there). I've decided not to lower the car any further just in case I ever have to go further above the clouds!

So...After arriving home safely this afternoon I would like to thank everybody who turned up for the local meet in Castleton. It was nice to put names to faces and cars(even though the next meet I’ll need reminding of the names again). Such a fantastic show of mk1,2&3 cars. Extra shout out to @theoldboy&@Maypack for the accommodation and the great pizza we had on the evening, shame about the Cumberland sausage for brekkie... Well some of the locals turned up, View attachment 2133
They didn’t seem to say very much...
Then the local cruiser boys turned up in their pimped ride..

Then later that day I bumped into the two guys who owned that car and they were looking for @Legojon&@Jimbobcook for giving them some detailing info on how to clean their car. They tried the Fairy Liquid and the car looked even worse.lol

For a second I thought that was actual photos you took of the sheep. I was thinking "I'm sure id remember a sheep with a hat and glasses".

I’m pretty sure that the second photo is genuine....it certainly looked like the chap who got out of that Honda thing..haha.
