2007 Leon 2.0TDi 'Stylance'

Okay, after introducing myself one of the members suggested I started a readers ride thread, the basics are that we have just bought a new car (ATECA) and we also have a van, the Leon has been such a good car over the last 6 years that we couldnt face getting rid of it yet so its now my project car.

The overall condition is pretty good, 115k and 11years and the bodywork is pretty good (I do detail cars to its maybe no wonder!), as a aging boy racer I fancy doing something with this that I never did properly when I was younger and thats mainly engine mods... I've been in touch with Darkside Developments and giving thought to exactly what I want. In the meantime there will be some other general mods that I do just to improve its current state.

The only thing its had so far is a milltek cat back system and thats only because it needed a new exhaust.

What im looking at is,

• Lowering using Eibach Sportlines
• Anti roll bar unpgrade
• LED light upgrade
• Front splitter (if I can find one I like for the model, there doesnt seem to be too many around for the "normal" front bumper.
• Darkside induction kit

The bigger stuff is,

• Darkside Hybrid Killer Turbo upgrade (240 bhp)
• Upgraded intercooler and pipes
• Upgraded injectors

Its should be "okay" upto 240ish with little extra work but I would to get this closer to 300 bhp but it depends on the cost as at some point I may have to draw a line, but we'll see as we progress.

So the car as it stands... I'll get some more photos when I get the car back, its got a transmission oil leak thats being fixed today.

Yeah, the paintwork looks ace! I don't want to spend your money, but have you considered the superpro antilift also? Best thing I ever did to my FR+ for handling was springs, roll bars and antilift.

Thanks, I'll look into that, if it helps the handling even more then its certainly something id like to do.

I suspect joining this forum is going to be expensive!

Okay, so adding on to the list is wheel spacers... I think once its lowered it'll need them. Its only on 17's so they may look a little lost in the arches if theyre not pushed out a bit as well.

Okay so today’s job was replacing the gear box seal that was leaking... easy enough job also changed the oil at the same time.

Not sure what the point of having a hole in the middle of this is really? But it’s done now so I can focus on improving it now.

Another pretty small job, the fog light was damaged a couple of years ago by a gritter, a big lump hit it and cracked it.

Had the new one for about 18months... finally sorted it!!

I’ve also had the wheels refurbished... and a colour change, they needed it the were seeping air, much better now. The colour looks good in my view.

They are indeed... I also have some spacers coming as well... and unrelated to lowering an armrest.

Anti roll bars and anti lift may well be next, although im considering a remap as well, would bump it to c200bhp which would be nice as an interim before I look at turbo mods...

If you go for Eibach anti-roll bars they'll be in matching red. LOL. You'll have to let me know what they are like when they are on.

Its all about matching all the bits you cant see... but I will know! Im looking at darkside development ones... sadly theyre blue... may have to rethink.

I'll add an update once theyre on and see how they feel.

Messing around with interior LEDs looks a bit seedy.... but I quite like it.

I had the red interior as well as the red footwell lights in my fr and it sort of looked like a mobile brothel but as your car isn't black it will be fine lol good work!
