I would go for it - mine was from Progressive.

Don't forget to use the code CUPRARESDEL for £25 off

Just had the resonator delete done on my 280 this morning. Just the front one and it sounds much better. Not much drone at 70 on the motorway. And not overpoweringly loud. I think both would sound over the top!

On a 280 id say yes. It sounds like it should now without being over the top . Cant go wrong for 90 quid. I definately think the middle silencer out as well would be too much though. It depends what your after. DSG farts are much louder :)
I have a new 300. Yeah I’m after a bit more noise but not too much so it would just be the middle resonator wouldn’t it.

Yes.

I have a 300 and took the resonator (middle section) out.

Mine is a VAGSport one from Progressive Parts.

Yeah that what i got off. So yeah the 280 has an extra muffler on there. Is it not too loud for you like that?

Nope it's perfect. I wouldn't want it any louder.

When I'm driving normally it's not a whole lot louder than stock. It's only really noticeable from a cold start or when I put my foot down.

Yeah as I said before I’m having mine custom made instead of the progressive parts piece. Does it only require one clamp the other end as the other clamp is already on the car?

Yes that's right. The exhaust is already clamped at the front end. It has to be cut at the back end to remove the resonator, then a second clamp is used to fit the res delete.

Resonator delete pipe has arrived. Box was a little damaged but it looks pretty well packed inside so hoping it’s fine. Just need to get it fitted...

What should I expect to pay for the work? Progressive parts charge £36 on their website, but I suspect they can undercut everyone else as they know the process back to front, and presumably want to incentivise people to buy the pipe in the first place. I have only tried one place so far and was quoted £100 plus Vat. Looking at the effort involved I would consider that quite expensive, however, I’d be the first to admit I have no idea what I’m talking about...

£100 to fit it is taking the proverbial..!!!

I bought a progressive parts one, and had it fitted for £40 including VAT at a local exhaust centre.
