Seat CS are adamant that my car has a confirmed build week of 40. The dealer however claims there is still no build week. Would they not be seeing the same information? :banghead2

You'd think so, unless the dealer software is ringfenced and separate to Seats own systems I guess

That is a surprise - would love an R.
The discounts just aren't there though.
I've spec'd up my Cupra quite well to compensate for it not being an R or an S3. Still came in loads cheaper

Pretty much what I've done.
Couldn't justify the higher monthly payment and less spec for the R.

I ordered in February and should hopefully have it in November. Hopefully your not in a hurry as there is a huge back log.

Its horrible having to wait. When they first told me they had one, I was literally pacing around the office all day, until they called me with the figures.

Now to begin the tedious task of dismantling my current 290 and seeing if people want to buy any parts.

They had one, ah right so it's in stock somewhere? It's a shame they can't churn out enough cars to build up stock like other manufacturers. I was in my local dealer a few days ago for a tyre and the salesman said this "should" be one of the busiest months of the year but they are quoting waiting times to customers and they leave.

Imagine waiting 8 plus months for a Seat....oh hang on we all are!!

I rang Seat CS today and was told that my order has a build week of 40. Ordered in the first week of June and it is a Cupra ST, just thought I would pass that on for what it is worth.

Did you add any options?

Your dealer is incorrect I'm afraid - none are shipped and won't be until the homologation data is received on 2nd October.
All those built week 38 are current stuck at production point 7 (pre-quality check) and won't be going anywhere just yet.
The October 2nd date is subject to change but the dealers have to check the Seat Hub for info.

I believed what you had said before I thought i'd share the email anyway :)

I wonder if that means BW39 and BW38 will all be shipped together at the same time or whether there will be further delays due to larger shipping volumes

I assume they're backing up all the MY18 builds and will ship in order of build - but just a guess. They might need to charter a dedicated ship just for our orders!!
