My res delete alone cost £150 and I then had to pay to have it fitted, so £190 all in (including the tips) sounds like a bargain! What tips did you go for?

Cheers guys,
I’m picking up my new 2018 Cupra on Monday and returning the 2017 FR. I also think about res delete, almost sure to do it since you guys say it’s a positive upgrade.
Is anybody willing to provide me info on the measurements for the pipe needed and maybe post a photo of it with measurements ( what fi is it etc.)
Thank you!

gof..... from the sounds of it you want the measurements because you are going to do the res delete yourself...

Not that I’m into diy work. I got a local exhaust shop but one of the workers said he needs measurements so he can order the pipe if they don’t have it in stock. I’m tight on time since I’m moving to another city so that’s the only reason I’m asking in advance.
I was planning to take the car in for res delete just after delivery.

gof.....I’m sure your local exhaust specialists should know the pipe size but I think it’s a 3 inch.... but it’s very difficult to give you the length of the pipe as it has a bend/ curve at one end.

I already visited the shop but Cupra is really a rare car here (this is the first Cupra 300 in the country as far as I know), he said to me he has experience with S3 and quite a few Golf Rs and GTIs but never worked on a Cupra before. So anyway better to ask you guys, thank you for your help!

gof.... try a site called Progressive parts you can buy a complete res delete ready to fit your car.. don’t know what your budget is.. it’s ready to go, just cut the old silencer off and replace it with the resonator delete... by the way you won’t regret it..

Tiny bit smaller than I imagined but looks and sounds great so far! I noticed it looks a bit wonky but it’s just from the angle I’m at, and sorry for the dirty car!

ibizafrSY4... looks good..... are you happy with the sound difference it makes. Not much when you drive normal but nice pops and crackles when you boot it. Hope you enjoy it.

Definitely a difference! I haven’t noticed and pops or crackles but I’m not sure if that’s just because mine is a manual? Little bit of drone but not too much to be annoying

Stick it in Cupra mode, build up a little bit of speed and then change down through the gears... And cue the popcorn!

Might give that a go today tbf, I’ve always quite enjoyed the soundaktor thing, thought it was quite realistic haha! Just hope I don’t mess with anything, also do I need any particular tools?

All you need is a pair of pliers to remove the 3 metal clips. That's it.

Removing the connector from the soundaktor unit is a little bit of a fiddle as it's not very easy to reach, but you can do it with your hands easily enough...

You'll enjoy it more knowing that the sound you hear is actually coming from your exhaust and not from a little plastic box..!!

Does Cupra have a valved exhaust?

Was wondering the same thing, I’ve heard it on videos in comfort mode sounding different to Cupra mode, but wasn’t sure if it was
