Just found these images of the Cupra R ST in Magnetic Grey on the Seat website. I like!

Hi All, long time lurker 1st time poster.

Got an email from Nationwide today stating that my 5dr DSG Magnetic Grey order is now expected to be with the supplier on 29/10/2018.......original predicted date was 17/12/2018, so possibly good news! I'm taking it with a pinch of salt given the ongoing fiasco of providing relevant info, but fingers crossed!

EDIT: scrap the above....due to the stupid way Gmail groups chains of conversation I didn't see the later emails until now.....must have been a mistake as 5mins later they sent one to say date had changed back to 17th Dec!! :banghead2

And would need to see in the flesh, but to me the Magnetic Grey looks similar to the Technic Grey on my Ibiza FR just with a blue hint rather than brown hint. If it is a similar tone then it's great for not showing up too much dirt for those of us who are occasionally lazy with washing the car

I got a call yesterday from my case manager, no movement on my order still at status 00.

Looks like she is getting her information from a "product support team".

She was saying that things may have slipped to week 42 (15th Oct) from 40 but wasn't 100%.

Following that call I spoke with fleet/vwfs about the involuntary extension on my existing lease.
I spoke with Tara who I have been dealing with since July 2017.

She said that they are still in the dark, and were/are expecting information on the 2nd of October as well.
Currently they don't know anything other than the names of some of the models. She wasn't even aware about the difference between a Cupra and a Cupra LUX in spec.

Data was due yesterday from SEAT on other models, so that vwfs could quote and set up finance. Unfortunately that data never arrived. She cited WLTP as being the obvious cause and gave me a brief explanation about the testing being performed.

She hoped that the info she received about the 2nd of October was accurate, and said that typically build weeks were assigned approx 4 weeks before the car is due to be built.

The fact that vwfs didn't receive the data on the other models yesterday doesn't fill me with confidence though.

Assume this will be common for a lot of us now?
Cheers mate,

Sounds like a lot of us are receiving "similar" information.

Over a 12 month wait for a SEAT
My family and friends think I'm mad.

I've cheekly asked my case manager to include some accessories free of charge. Waiting on confirmation for that as well now.

I reckon they'll throw in a seat branded snapback if you're lucky :bleh:

Haha,

Well they're already covering the painting and fitting of my sideskirts and the dealership are covering the fitting of my black lettering.

I'm kinda hoping that between them they'll go all the way and pay for the lot.

Then hopefully I'm going to purchase the front lip through the dealership.

Come to think of it I didn't receive my cheque this time around either for the delay.

My dealer have already refused to install my black badge so i'll probably end up doing a shoddy job myself

No worries pal. I’m unsure where this actually leaves us now in terms of compensation for being ****** about. Could really do with £250 cheque to clear excess mileage on my golf R

Seat CS emailed me earlier with the following -

"I can advise that your vehicle has a confirmed build week of week 40, which is the week commencing 1 October 2018. Further, I can also advise that this has been confirmed as ‘Magnetic Grey’."

Going to be a long 8 weeks or so. Not sure the polo can hold on much longer :joystick:

Letchworth Seat are crap... I’ve tried 5 times to test drive the ST 4Drive they have in their pre-reg sales listed on autotrader..

1st time it was in the workshop as the battery was dead from being sat in the showroom
2dn time. The sales manages was now using the car and had gone on holiday, leaving the car in the airport parking
3rd time the sales manager was in a meeting in the morning and decided he didn’t want to go back into the showroom in the afternoon, even after I phoned agreed to request the drive
4th time, he was at lunch, even though I’d phoned ahead to at what time I’d be there
5th time, he has brought his partners car to work, even though I phoned YESTERDAY and organised to test drive..

On top of that, they have an ST manual in the showroom, and they have all the signage on it saying it’s a 4Drive (DSG)... !!:banghead:

Follow him home and "test drive" it from his house
