I assume it’ll be early 2019 for the Cupra Ateca? But yes, I believe you are right. I will be VERY surprised if they don’t put the 7sp DSG in the new cars now. I’m still hopeful on the possibility of the 310ps, as I believe they are really trying to push the Cupra as the groups performance brand, so a little nudge form the last of the Seat Leon Cupras in that direction would make sense..

On the Seat Germany site, they have the 190ps (320nm) engine on the Leon FR with the 7sp DSG and the french site has the Cupra also with the 7sp so it certainly looks more and more likely that we will get that as both of those are well over the 250nm...

I nearly ordered a 1.8TSI as I got a deal through Drive the Deal with over 25% off, but decided not to because of the engine had been limited to 250nm just to suite the dry clutch gearbox. This also meant no tuning potential as the gearbox would be the limiting factor. Wish I had ordered it now as it would have been changed to a 2.0 and that must have a wet clutch 7 speed.

I can also conform lots of Golfs here in West Yorkshire, mix of Rs, GTIs and GTDs. Never see mk3 Cupras, but FRs are everywhere! I'm hoping the Cupra could be mistaken for just another FR, but think the wheels and exhausts are going to give it away.

Apparently the information I received on Monday was incorrect and I don't have a build week assigned.

I was also told that both the winter pack and beats audio come as standard now because of the drop in power to 290bhp.

I originally spec'd the winter pack and SEAT sound - could have saved myself a bit of cash.

Yeah had my call last night, and they could tell me nothing. I asked when the engine was going through test and they knew nothing about that either. I have specced seat sound as part of my high nav pack and winter pack as part of the full leather pack...

They asked what was the latest I had heard from the dealer, which was provisional build in October and they could neither confirm or deny it.

Mines a 4Drive ST with all the options ticked .. (Ordered January).

I think you have to take the price list with a pinch of salt, as there were several versions in both July and August, and there are still many errors on there, invcluding the 4Drive being 290ps.. models like the 300 lux on some pages but not others...

No there isn't, I was told that the literature was yet to be updated, much like the website and configurator. Last time I read the price list it mentioned the manual. Things are still changing and the mpg and emissions are yet to go in there too.

The beats makes sense as that is part of the CUPRA brand and fits in with the R's, Carbon and CUPRA Ateca.

This would also help the brand as not being able to spec the upgraded sound on higher end Leon sounds like a big mistake. It makes sense if they have already included it.

That's what my case manager confirmed today. She was assigned to me from January this year when I had an issue with my side skirts on my original order and has been my point of contact throughout the nightmare that has been my order.

She only gives me info when she's 100% sure. Up until today she was confident that I would receive seat sound as part of my MY18 order.

However since the factory re opened she received new information about beats.


She is now chasing up why I was told build week 40 as she has checked and there is no confirmed build week against my order number.

No information about the badges

But Dean at CS says that for MY19 the Winter Pack is an optional extra and will not be included on the MY19 cars as standard

To have my build date taken away for the second time now, really annoyed me.

The beats sweetner wasn't enough.

She didn't mention about any other specific changes, but is going to investigate.

The addition of beats though suggests a move towards the brand. As it was previously unavailable on a Leon in the UK unless it's an R or carbon.

As said before the Ateca has it too.

I'm only relaying the info from this mornings call based on my order.

The chap I spoke with on Monday who gave me the inaccurate week 40 build was called "Kevin".

My case manager is now going to investigate and get back to me. I'll post if I hear anything new.

Wow...so much conflicted information.
So, weeks and weeks ago it was confirmed to me by my case Manager that winter pack is now standard on MY19’s (100% sure this is the case) but also confirmed that Beats Audio was also included aaaaaaand then she went back on a few days later after I pushed them on it. Carly at Lookers also pushed them and they confirmed the winter pack inclusion but Beats isn’t.
Also, the screen grab I have from my order only shows Winter Pack as well as the 6 speed box not 7.
Essentially, we won’t actually know what is included until I get my order - I’m build week 38 so guess I’m one of the first to get one delivered. I’ll fill you all when I collect mine!

I’m week 38 as well 5dr DSG Mystery blue. I’ve been told by Seat CS complaint department that only the winter pack is now included & no space saver wheel just a repair kit, no mention of anything else. They’ve also said my build date 17th sept is 100% as Seat sick to build dates
