My First Leon and got to say, I like it.

So here it is.



Only one pic for now I'm afraid.

Had a couple of VW Golfs which gave me no end of trouble and then a Kia (amazing how much a 7 year warranty can comfort after paying for a turbo and dual mass flywheel and then a faulty DSG). Have to say the Kia was a nice car with more toys than the Leon but looks wise and performance there's no comparison and I'm working on adding those toys back.

Got the car 1 year old with 5K on the clock. It had a small bump repaired by the dealer who had the wheels and wing mirrors painted black at the same time. Think it looks really nice but we'll have to see how well the wheels hold up, I can see powder coating in my future lol.

Unfortunately I don't think the repair is up to snuff and pulled them up on this. There playing ball so far and sending to back for more work. Its not really that bad but I want her look just right.

Already got a few techie updates in mind such as adding rain wipers, auto headlights and auto dim mirror. After that not really sure re the exterior, maybe a few more black accents and a splitter.

Hi there,

Think I might have discussed that with you in the new members section.

Going to use obdeleven. Probably a few apps and them dive into long coding (after making a backup of everything lol).

I have a large extended family and one of them graciously gave me an old android device (Apple myself) so that saved me a few quid. Got the adapter on order now.

Oh and already got the rain sensor on order and talking to a breakers in Germany about the headlight switch which seem a bit harder to come by.

After that the bank will need a rest to recuperate lol.

As for the rest... That won't happen you'll find a way to hold back on other stuff haha for example if you say went to the gym just give your car a wash, polish, glaze, wax and you will burn more calories I guarantee it lol

I’ll channel my inner karate kid lol.

If only I could replace the word gym with work that would be even better.

I am looking forward to washing / waxing. Tried during the heat. I knew it was a mistake before I even started but wanted to make it shine. Hot car plus wax = that really was an arm workout.

You only do that once lol I now get up at half 5 - 6am to start cleaning so I miss the hot part of the day.

So first mod done. Fitted the new rain/light sensor and now have autowipers. Still waiting for OBDeleven adapter to arrive to start coding and need to order the light switch for the auto lights but small steps.

Only worry was once I replaced the sensor auto start/stop didn't work and the info read "Engine should be running" when it obviously was. In the end turned out it was just coincidental timing and the car was performing a DPF regen and the wording on the readout just doesn't make sense but gave me a bit or a worry to begin with lol.

Onto the next mod.
