I am with you on that one - I am not into white cars and had dissed a friend who got one many years ago. For that I was punished and both my previous Skoda Octavia VRS mk3 and my current Leon were white.
I had someone snitch a blue Skoda under my nose and the next best deal was the white one. For the Seat, there were 5 cars in Finland at the time I got mine: A Mystery blue (that I really wanted but had to let go after I found out the panoramic roof is risky in terms of leaking), two red ones (test drove one and I really don't like the color live...) and two white ones - mine was a "dealer queen" and they specced it with all the toys to have on display and take to car events, etc.
I admit the white Skoda grew on me and this Seat actually looks better than that on white, but it is a PIA to keep clean.
Here is what the Skoda looked like, also in white:

I love my Cupra don't get me wrong, but I've always preferred the look of the VRS. I had one on order in that exact spec (exterior anyway) but it kept being delayed. After the 4th delay was going to impact my holiday, a found a Black VRS 230 special edition, that was a false start as I was told 0% finance was available right up until 3 days before I was due to collect. Couldn't justify £100 more a month over what I was going to pay for the white one on order.
Ended up test driving a Cupra 'Queen' as you call it. Wife preferred the looks, I preferred the power, my 1 year old daughter preferred the noise. So it was bought. Was quite amusing collecting my deposit back on the Skoda in the Cupra
