How much did you pay for this and have you got a link to this wellycooler please?
Which size did you go for?
and does it fit to the standard pipes?

He couldnt quote me as he said itl go on bends but as soon as its done il update you

Either way its still a cheaper alternative to a airtec cooler and so far has cost me £82 which includes the cooler, 90degree brackets , bolts and a few cutting disks for the crash bar.

Installation is not for the faint hearted as it feels mechanicaly cruel when you fire the grinder up but you feel satisfied when you see it mounted securely, looks beasty when the bumpers on as its crying to endure lots of cool air lol

Awesome, bravo for going all out lol

What's the plan after this fine equipment is up and running?

I see you're already running over 300bhp, surely 400bhp is the next milestone haha

Does the cupra have the k03 or the k04 turbo?

Cheers

Ko4...its basicly the same engine as in yours but im sure yours is the newer cdl engine code as the cupras is a bwj. Still the same spec as an s3 engine.

Aha well i think the turbo will limit me before 400bhp but im hoping for healthy stage 2 figures , all it needs after is a uprated clutch and a hpfp and then off to see niki for a map upgrade

I assumed as much but it's all a learning game for me hence why I'm still stock.

I'm still against getting rid of the engine cover lol

Might drop in a revo stage one before the meet and see what's what.

You can modify the cover to fit with an air intake mate.

Go see r tech for a custom stage 1 , he will also health check it and at least that way you will know your exact output and rest assured she is running perfectly.

The end result is an ear to ear grin

That's only just over an hour away from me and nearly half the price of the revo map... My motto is buy **** pay twice lol this where you got yours done I assume...

I have the cash for the revo but wanted the anti lift kit before I went. I saw the mod for the engine cover not sure it looks as good lol i will just have to get me some blue pipe replacements lol.

You near by r tech?

Well worth it mate you wont regret it. Give him a call as its around a 3week wait for a map

And yeah after countless research i couldnt find a reason why i shouldnt go there lol

If you plan to go stage 2+ youl remove it , can always keep it and if you plan to sell you can return to stock and even with r tech you get 5 switchable maps so you can map it back to stock.

Also did a filler neck delete to tidy the bay up

Did you just crush round it with water pump pliers? I want to do this (so I can swap to the porsche cap), but am concerned about stuff dropping into the sump.

AKS do a TTS engine cover that fits (cause I think it has the intake as standard). The antilift is well worth it. Hmm, map wise, I have Revo 2 (soon 2+). From what I see, R-tech have an excellent rep and if you want every last drop squeezed out of the engine / mods its the way to go. If you want a generic map that pushes the engine but not too hard then go Revo.

R-Tech are miles better than Revo! Revo is just generic! Up to you if you want to waste double the money for a map that isn't as good. R-Tech all the way for tfsi tuning!
