After all my waiting so far I still don't have a car on order.

The dealership is trying to get SEAT to honour the price from the original PCH that was agreed last October.

The price has since increased to £271 pcm.

He is unable to order the car until he can confirm the pricing.

Are dealer's able to fast track orders at all?
My current lease which was originally a 24 month deal may end up being closer 3 years at this rate.

Trying to work out where I stand with regards to having to replace tyres, brake pads and such. As if my car had been delivered I wouldn't have needed to.

Could you not kick off about it and get them to sort you out with a hire car until your new one comes? I had a nice auto golf gti for 2 months because of the delay on mine.. This is much worse than the 2 month delay I had!

Yeah, it's quite unusual. I'm not sure how it's gotten to this point.

At least it's only me that's affected. SEAT got it right for everyone else.

That's the thing SEAT finance have let me hold onto my current lease. Initially it's been extended for a month.

Once I have an SLI I'll be able to keep it until the new car arrives.

Which is actually pretty good of them.

Unfortunately though I'm going to incur additional costs at this rate as I may need new disks and at least an couple of tyres if I have it for another 6 months.

I don't think that's their problem though. It's just annoying as I wouldn't have had to if my order had come in when expected.

Is the order fairly standard or have you added quite a few options ?

I am going to be in a similar situation (albeit only a delay of 3 or so weeks). VWFS offered to extend the PCH on my TT. I straight up refused.

Its due a service in a month (8 days before the agreement ends) I explained that I wasn't willing to continue running the vehicle at my expense because of SEAT's failings. I had this conversation when they called to offer me my £250 cheque. They were fine about it. The adviser said that it wasn't an issue. As soon as I know when my TT will be collected I can call and they will arrange a for a local enterprise to drop me a vehicle off at their expense.

I'm would not be happy with the way I was treated at all if I was in your shoes.

Hi mate,

I've added a number of options this time around.
My current lease was pretty standard so I thought I'd treat myself.

The price was so much better this time around so I was able to add things like pan roof, winter pack , Seat sound for a similar price to the last one, which just had a black pack.

I know that's not going to help my waiting time.

If it was a dealer or manufacturer error I don’t think you should be out of pocket.

yeah thats why I suggested the hire car route as its literally a free car, no monthly costs and you don't have to stump up for anything like you mentioned disks/tyres etc

It looks like I will finally pick my car up on Sunday after ordering 7 October last year. It has been in the country nearly three weeks and only landed at the dealership yesterday...

Finance docs being signed tomorrow and assume the spec is as ordered????

Ah ok. Good point.
SEAT CS have suggested that i keep hold of the car and we discuss a solution with SEAT finance once I have an SLI.

Unfortunately though, it has been mentioned that there are no guarantees that SEAT will be able to honour the original pricing.

Not sure who or where at SEAT is responsible for this decision.

Nice one, I will keep my eye out for another 18 plate in Chello.

Cheers, I have not seen your yet either :p
I've hardly driven it, spent all last week treating my wheels to a ceramic sealant and most of Sunday before, the big match polishing and waxing. Last night was the first time I had driven it in the dark.
From the time I have spent in it I am well impressed, I just need to get it run in so I can really see what it is like.

Oh dear I have finally been caught out by SEAT delays and the Temple of Doom...

After agreeing a payment figure and price in October, due to the length of time the finance had to go through again and now our payment figure has gone up by £5 a month, even though our cars value and settlement figure have chipped in an extra £400.

Apparently Q4 residual values have gone down so our payment has gone up. We are refusing to sign until sorted as the delay is not our fault and why should we have to pay more for the long delay??? VWFS should honour the original quote.

Looks like I will be raising a query with SEAT CS tomorrow and will have the joy of them tomorrow to sort something out with VWFS. The dealership who have gone from hero to zero after my wife went in to sign the docs today and neither the documents or the salesperson was there even though it had been pre-arranged notwithstanding the rest of the pa lava today.

That crap sorry to hear that mate,

Looks like we're in a similar situation with regards to honouring an agreement made last year. Although I gather yours is a PCP?

From what I'm being told at the moment VWFS/Fleet/seat finance are not in control of the pricing.

The dealership are also powerless as well. All I keep hearing is that prices are set by SEAT.

I still have an ongoing case open with SEAT CS who also cannot help with pricing. They are simply chasing both the dealership and VWFS in my case.

I'm due an update from SEAT CS tomorrow, if I learn anything useful I'll share.

Sorry to hear of your ongoing woes

Dealership has come back to say they will honour the figure in payment terms, but not the deposit. However, I have still complained as someone needs to get a grip somewhere!!

Is it the Derby dealership? I had issues with the 14 plate Leon that I had to reject last October. To be fair though they didn't really put up much resistance to me handing it back.

Looking at the state of the parking situation and my past experience I am probably not going to have my car serviced there. I had a look around G-tech Motor Works off Ascot drive and am more than likely going to use them instead.

Yes, it seems complete chaos in there and the new sales manager admitted to only being there four weeks after they had sacked two previous sales managers

Cars are being parked in the Chiquito restaurant next door as well as all around the back. The dealership has now lowered payments back to the original quote just the deposit has stayed the same but I now have a lower final residual - what a mess SEAT have made from ordering to delivery issues...

I have still put a complaint into SEAT as they need to be aware of everyone's issues so I will just add another to the pile :cartman:

Oh I see.

That's a better position to be in but still not ideal.

They go from ringing up customers out of the blue and offering gestures of goodwill to things like this (and to be honest not everyone who deserved a goodwill gesture received one.) Very inconsistent customer service.

It feels like they're doing well enough to not be bothered about the odd customer issue. They'd probably rather I cancel my order all together.

Anyway good luck mate.
