My BW was brought foreword around 10 weeks so I've got a 2017 build so no digi dash for me, which if I'm being honest about I'm not to bothered as my car is a PCH one

Collecting from IMG Warrington on Wednesday 14th March & had the same email as you guys about the initial payment

Mine is -

£1390.98 initial payment

Minus 1st payment of £249
Minus admin fee of £178.80

Cheque back to me of £963.18 which all adds up to initial payment

Confirmed via email with my Sales person, Phil -
'The initial payment will be taken 7-10 days after you have collected the car'

I ordered mine in August & I am yet to see, on the road, a 5 door Cupra let alone a mystery blue one

I have a feeling I'll be seeing a fair few at IMG on Wednesday !:happy::happy:

Hi Iv'e also ordered one on lease from Phil at IMG; just wondering what are IMG like for keeping you updated on the status of the car, i ordered over 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing since not even a confirmation of order email. Ordered I Skoda from Simpsons previously and they were very good in keeping me informed.

From my experience he only called me when the car arrived at IMG. I then received the finance documents and arranged a pick up day. Between order and the car turning up I had nothing from them at all unless I called or emailed.

Everyone's answered your question for me

IMG may not be in regular contact with you but to be fair nothing has ever been too much trouble when I've rang them

Just give 'em a call

Will definately be purchasing this but how much is covered? Never had gap before but due to having a lease I think I need it.

My insurance covers any car that is less than 3 years old to full price. So I would check with your insurance. I’m with Axa if it helps.

Thanks for insurance info, will check my policy to see if its similar before going with a 3rd party gap. For reference SEAT quoted £150p/y.

My car is now on a boat and has been registered with a plate, just finalising the paperwork. Delivery to me looks to be 26th March!

Ordered Cupra ST300 4Drive at the end of October 2017. Options included ‘Mystery Blue’ paint and Buckets. Build Week was confirmed Week 3 and the car was finally delivered on the 1st March. Came with Virtual Cockpit which was a real bonus, although I would have been equally happy with the analogue display.

Still running it in, but “VERY PLEASED” with the car so far (and that’s saying something as my other runaround is a Mk7 Golf R).

How do the pair compare, are they very similar?

Unsurprisingly not too “dissimilar”....

First thing you do notice is how light the steering feels in the Cupra compared to the Golf (even in the Cupra setting), which is a real shame. Road composure and damping are pretty much evenly matched, however you do notice more body roll in the Cupra through the corners (both are on 19” wheels, however the Golf is set up on passive dampers). In terms of outright performance in a straight line the Cupra feels slightly “quicker” mainly due to the fact it has a DSG box compared to the Golfs manual box.

Interior quality in the Cupra is “slightly” down on the Golf’s and I do miss the automatic folding wing mirrors (on locking the car), dynamic bend lighting and centre console storage covers. I’m pretty much nitpicking here.

But all in all... I wouldn’t say the two cars are miles apart. Based on the savings to say a Golf R estate, I would take the Cupra any day. Cupra looks “Better” as well and you also get the choice to spec the “Better” looking & better fitting Bucket seats (which isn’t an option on the Golf R)

I preferred the auto folding mirrors that I had in the S3, but I do prefer the LEON auto unfold on unlock. On the Audi i was driving you had to turn the key first.

Without coding if you hold the lock button for a few seconds they will fold on the Leon.
