Have you had your registration information email Ewen?

I've had mine and I am not happy with the registration GK18 EDL. I know this wouldn't bother some people but I don't want any association with a far right political group or the chances of my car getting vandalised by some left wing group.

I have spoken to Matt and to be fair he is going to try and change it.

Order Update...!

Factory confirmation on 8th Jan, rung Seat today and i have a confirmed week 12 build! Dealer has previously said it went from 16 to 22 and back to 12, so clearly its pretty random until confirmation comes through.

Does build week 12 mean week commencing 19th March?? If so, how long should i expect from here to collection please - is it about 4 weeks?

4 weeks is reasonable from build to delivery. Mine was built wk2, delivered wk5 so might be a bit quicker :)

Thanks Ewen, am i right in thinking the build week number is from beginning of Jan, or does it mean from factory confirmation date?

Spoke to him after work and arranged to go to the dealer around midday. He said he has a few people booked in (including yourself presumably!) but I don’t mind waiting around.

He’s emailed me the extra stuff I can add on and the reg number. He said there’s a second email to come I’ll get in the next couple of days which should be all the finance docs

Now I've just received a email from my dealership to say that it hasn't arrived yet and is expected to be delivered any day now.

I'm really confused to be honest.
Both CS and the dealership have provided different information.

I'm going to have to go down there to clear things up.

You getting it from IMG seat? My experience has been very similar. I get contacted from Seat UK telling me one thing then speak to the dealer and they have no idea about it.

Then the other day someone phoned me from the dealer to tell me my car was at the dealer and ask when do I want to pick it up so I email them to say I want to get it on 3rd March. The dealer replies saying its not here yet and they will contact me when it is!!! So I phone them straight up and say you just phoned me saying it was there and when do I want to get it - so i confirm 3rd March.

Then they email me at the end of last week saying - YOUR CAR IS HERE - please arrange pick up from the 6th March!!!!!!!! Total joke.

I also asked to confirm the spec and he initially replied saying - well we ordered it with that spec - i replied saying - please can you go and check the car as its on your forecourt - he instantly replied saying the spec is confirmed - I'm sure it wasn't checked!

My fingers are seriously crossed - its a 180 mile journey as well. It'll be a miracle if this goes to plan

What was your confirmed build week? I also ordered with img, when they reply to my emails its so blunt even one word answers, I ordered dsg just hope they got that right

No a combination of VWFS and JCT Sheffield.
I'm still awaiting confirmation from the dealership as to whether the car matching my specification was actually ordered/submitted in October.

I've had no response from either the sales rep or the sales manager, after emailing them both. Quite shocked to be honest.

Otherwise I'm doing the 20 week wait again for a new order as I can't accept the one that was delivered last week. It's missing both the panroof and seat sound.

It was an order that I believed had been previously cancelled for me.

Anyway Fleet/VWFS have said that as long as I have an SLI I can keep hold of my existing lease until my order arrives. The original return date was in November 2017 :)

Yeah thats my exact experience. Customer service skills are zero. Not only one word answers but sometimes actually almost trying to be awkward by not answering the questions I ask. I just can't wait to get in the car and drive off and leave the whole awkward situation behind me. Ultimately its a bargain deal and Seat uk have sorted me out during the two month delay (golf gti hire car and a 250 quid cheque) but the customer service of the dealer is shocking.

You just dont get a high level of service from anywhere anymore. This is coming from someone who works in customer services!!

Sounds like a total sh!t storm! It doesn't surprise me though. The whole system seems completely broken from the experiences on here and my own personal debacle.

Same here I asked if it was too late to add the sunroof to which he replied your build week is 8, completely ignoring my question :s
