My saga goes on, took a call from the dealer last Tuesday, which he said that he should have the build week by Friday. Friday comes, call came late on around 5.00pm and he tells me that it has now gone out to week 22 (what the hell is happening) he then says tha he rang CS. And they put him on hold and who ever has said that it cannot go past week 13. By the time the call finished and I rang CS to verify all this they had all gone home so hopefully I can get some answers today.
I can believe this by the time the car comes we will be at nearly 12 months and this is for a bog standard car. Never again will I order a seat.

What on earth is happening with your build week? There’s a few of us who ordered in July who have had nasty waits, but I think all of our cars are now at least in transit, if not nearly ready for collection.

Even a Week 13 build is a nine month wait, and that doesn’t even factor in delivery. You need some stern words with CS.

Given some stories on here I wouldn’t be surprised if you get a call out of the blue in a couple of weeks saying it’s built and on its way though.

I am lost for words, back in October I got in touch with CS for the first time. The initial lady I spoke to tried to give me the run around and after kicking back I got put through to somebody called Oliver in the executive office. He said that they would look into it and eventually agreed to pay our upfront mobility payment of £249. (This was supposed to be split equally by Seat and the dealership) but that I now know is a con as quite a lot of orders are getting the £250. on the proviso that I would get a build week in January. When I found out that it was not to be delivered in January I got back in ouch with Oliver and asked on the advice of Mobility to revise the goodwill gesture. He then got a bit stroppy with me and said that was all they could give me. he went on to say that it looked like build week 10. Now it has gone to week 22 but so called cannot go past week 13. I await a call today to see what excuse they give.

Problem is, they don't even care if you threaten with cancelling. They have that many orders that loosing some here and there is nothing to them. Just try to keep pushing it higher and higher and certainly speak to the dealership about available stock. You might need to compromise on your order but it could get you a car sooner...

I can't send you as PM as you have too few posts, so probably best to drop me an e-mail or give me a call...

When ringing CS to ask for an estimated / confirmed build week what do you need ?
Just name and address or something else ?

Won't be asking until a few weeks before lead time is up as guess it will change.

My car arrived today but dealership is now being funny about keeping it until March. Something about not getting the same finance deal that I did when I ordered it - that's they'd have to recalculate the finance if I decided to wait for an 18 plate? Feel like this is a load of target hitting drivel.

They've said I need confirmation from Seat UK authorising them to give me the same finance deal I ordered it on

Am I right in thinking that your supplying dealer is JCB in Ashford Kent, seeing as though you ordered through Drive the Deal? I am expecting a phone call any time soon and will be in exactly the same boat. Please let me know how you get on with Seat UK.

You are the customer, they are the SEAT dealer, suggest THEY get on the phone to SEAT UK and find out.

If you ordered around when I did in early October the finance deal I got was valid for delivery up to the end of March 2018.

Sounds a bit odd to me TBH. More like Feb target is down, as sales are down so it is an extra car towards target = helps bonus for hitting said target.

Why I don't trust dealers having spent a couple of years in the trade some years back. Seems not much has changed, dealer does customer over, manufacturer does dealer over :(

I ordered end of October and haven't been in touch with the dealer since. My current lease ends in May and they said they'll keep the 300 in storage if it arrives early. If it doesn't come on time then I expect them to extend my lease until the new one arrives. Really can't be bothered to chase up tbh I'm the customer they should be keeping me informed. Otherwise I'll walk away as not signed anything for the 300.

Interesting I ordered end of October. The offer at the time was a daylight saving offer £1000 off. The caveat the car had to be registered by end of February. Being a week 5 build it may well be here before then.

I called my dealer to see if I could reserve the 18 plate, however they have yet to receive their allotted registrations yet. I’ll try again on Friday. Also purchased on PCP so not sure if that will make a difference.

I got the £1000 offer as well - the small print I read for the offer was order by end of Oct and vehicle must be registered by the end of March 2018

Mine is not going to be delivered until early March as was confirmed build week six...

The 'Daylight Saving Savings Event' offer ran from Tuesday 3rd to Tuesday 31st October 2017, and due to extended lead times was valid for registrations up to and including 30th June 2018.

'18' plate registrations have been available in AFRL since 1st February. I already have VRMs allocated to my March demonstrators and sold orders that are on site.

Thanks Scrogg,

Not sure why my dealer didn’t have / or tell me they did have them. I’ll drop them another line on Friday.
