Options affecting Leon lead times

When are you getting your car? All set for the 10th for me. Apparently it’s looking “lovely”. I keep hinting for a photo but daren’t ask in case that’s a bit weird haha.

Dealer hasn’t called to say it’s arrived yet, so I’m not sure where it is. Preliminary going down to get it on 3rd March. No rush as it’s bloody miles away and I can get an 18 plate which is a slight benefit for me on PCP.

I remember JCT in Sheffield sent me a personalised video on the day I was due to pick up my car. They had it in the showroom under a black cloth. The sales exec lifted up part of the cloth just to tease the colour. It was really exciting at the time but now I look back, it was really quite weird.

Didn’t yours leave with mine? Glad they agreed to wait until March. My dealer was having none of it but then again it makes no difference to them or me, they just want their Ibiza back so I don’t rack up the miles, fair enough. Only done 150ish so far.

Hahaha that is a bit strange yeah. Nice thought but I’m not sure how I’d feel watching that video!

Found out mine is on a ship off tangiers... the ship is the hoegh kunsan should be at uk port around the 8th, good news at last

Mine's on the same ship - the dealer told me name of ship when I asked him to confirm whether it had been built to schedule.

Pleased as ordered 7 Nov and was expecting a later build date.

The dealer know.. ask yours u can then track its voyage on the many ship trackers on the internet.. get the ships name off them then track it yourself.. they initially rang yesterday all happy saying my car was finally here at a uk port on the ship I mentioned above, they said it would then be 7-10 afterwards 4 pick up... after the call finished I tracked the ship myself and found out it can’t be here as the ship was near tangiers.. after repeated messages to and from the dealer and seat it has been confirmed it is still at sea..

Ours is now en route and due to dock in the UK on Sunday.

Im in the south, so guessing it's going to dock at sheerness.

Was yours build week 5 as well? Thinking mine might be on there.

I had a confirmed build week of 5, transpires it was built in week 4

The name they gave my partner was the glovis or something, but there's a few with that name and none of them are docking at sheerness

I had a confirmed build week 5 as well, but when I called at the beginning of this week I was told it had already been built by the end of last week and was out for delivery.

I've emailed SEAT for the details but haven't responded yet either.

Definitely sounds like it'll be on the same ship then.

To be honest, seat and email don't work. Quicker to ring customer services

Yeah I'm learning the same. I've had a few issues with this order so I'm trying get as much in writing as I can.

Those of you that have your cars arriving into the country in the next few days (which I am one of). Are you waiting to collect next month on the new plate or collecting as soon as possible? If you want to wait have you spoken to the dealer about it yet and have they been acceptable?

Picking ours up beginning/mid march. Dealer asked us what we wanted to do and was happy to hold it for us

Mine should be offloaded at Sheerness today - by the time it gets to Norwich and is PDI’d etc. that could be 3 weeks so I’ve decided to go for 18 plate and March 1st collection....

The dealer actually approached me with this question on Wednesday. It's something they've been offering customers in the same situation.

I'm on PCH so wasn't overly fussed, but it may actually work out more convenient for me to wait.

I had spoken to the dealer and they came out with some waffle about checking with the finance company as it is being purchased on PCP.

Just had a mini arguement with my dealer and will be complaining after we take delivery. Already complained once!

Just popped into the dealer to see if we can find out the name as what customer services said yesterday doesn't seem to show up. Guy we've been dealing with made a few sarcastic comments and let on that every time we speak with customer services it sends a notification to the dealer

He seemed unimpressed by this, so casually reminded him that after our first complaint, he went through his diary and agreed to call us every other Monday. That was about 10/11 weeks ago now and only happened twice. He never replies to emails, never replies to phone calls and now his attitude stinks.
