Does this mean ones that were ordered in the last few weeks will come sooner than the original 15-17 weeks quoted?

We originally ordered back in august (mystery blue 1.4 150) then changed to the 1.8 in Desire Red due to the awful wait times.

I'm surprised to find out it's been built already as we only found out 3 weeks ago we had a confirmed build week of 5!!

I did post further up but too hard scrolling back on the phone. Can you update ours? It should show that we have the optional 18s (30/3 I think they are)

Anyway, what would cause SEAT to reduce the lead times on the Leon?
A combination of SEAT UK securing additional production capacity at the factory (at the expense of other markets) in conjunction with extra shifts at the factory, an embargo on dealerships being able to order cars for stock/showroom (for about 9 months now) and a slowdown in demand.

Ordered a Monsoon grey 5dr Cupra 1st Dec 17 - lead time 28-30 weeks :(
I ordered our demonstrator in December (same colour with a few options) and it's currently showing as scheduled for production in week 11 (mid-April delivery) so I think 28-30 is a little extreme.

Also, where does it dock in the UK?
Depends where you are in the country.

Assuming your car was ordered as a sold order by your dealership then it will either go into Tyne (for dealerships in roughly the top half of the UK - including Scotland and Northern Ireland) or Sheerness (for dealerships roughly in the bottom half).

From mid-February a third delivery port is being be added at Grimsby, which will cover the middle third of the UK (including all of Wales and Northern Ireland) roughly from the M4 upwards,
