Reading all these responses is making me very frustrated at the state of my order. I ordered my Leon 5dr on 8th July, originally quoted 12 weeks for delivery - which has now been and gone, and I still don't have a build week! My dealer has been pretty useless, hasn't been telling me anything, and won't even give me my order number so I could track it myself. The frustrating thing is, all the things that I can see that are causing delays (1.4 TSI engine, 17" FR alloys, 18" machined alloys, SC or ST models) are not on my car, so not sure what the hold up is!

My first dealer is the same and don't telling me anything. Talk to the dealer and request the order number. When you have the order number speaks directly to seat support.

Possibly that the factory closes down for August, that in itself may just add 4 weeks so you may still get it early November.

Literally just had an email from Customer Service informing that my order is "unconfirmed build week 5, week commencing 29th January 2018"

What a farce. I'm heading out this weekend to find something else.

When did you order?
3rd week in June. So 31 weeks from order to build, which would probably become around 40 weeks for delivery.

Can make a baby in quicker time

I am aware unconfirmed dates can move forward, but considering the current car goes back on 1st November, I can't run the risk of being carless for 4 months

I ordered 2nd week in September and now reading all your stories I'm not sure if I'm gonna cry or laugh when I hear from my dealer sometime this month for the build week, especially since I got the delaying parts like 1.4 and 17s. And now this unrest in Catalonia. I was hoping to get it by April but who knows, and now I'm just hoping I won't forget that I ordered a new car in the mean time if it takes longer than that :)

Well, it seems that my car *did* get built in week 39, which was week commencing 25SEP. Apparently it made it onto a boat, and said boat is now floating around near Sheerness, presumably waiting for a space to park.

Probably going to be looking at a delivery window of something like 18-22 OCT at a rough guess. That'll put my lead time at approx 175 days from order to pickup, which is 25 weeks. :O

I've finally got a confirmed build date (Oct) and confirmed delivery date(s) at dealer of the 17th - 20th November for my Desire Red SEAT Cupra ST 300 DSG 4WD with all the trimmings (well most of them). I ordered this and my daughters Ibiza in the last week of June. Her new shape Ibiza FR 95PS is enroute and due for collection 20th October. They are almost within reach and am soooo happy, we seem to have been waiting forever. I can't wait. In fact we're both starting to get a bit giddy :)

Good news . When did you order (I could work it out by figuring out when 175 days ago was but I'm too tired?

My expected build date is week 44 which I'm told is confirmed 4 weeks before i.e this week. Therefore I'm hoping the next time I hear from the dealer they'll be telling me I've got a confirmed build week.

27th of April - which I think was the end of a week, so nothing happened until the start of the week after that. :)

Lead times seem to be all over the place. Is it really luck of the draw on how quick your new motor is built. Anyone ordered cupra st 4drive with minimal options care to share delay?

I reckon it did a pick up and drop off at the Netherlands, don't forget the Ateca and other VAG cars come from Europe.

It's now parked at Sheerness, been looking for a webcam :)

Mate, when did you order? I could work it out by going back 175 days but I'm too tired haha.

I ordered mine 25th June and I have an unconfirmed build week of week 44. I'm hoping that'll be confirmed by now and I've just asked the dealer to check.

Currently sat waiting for my current Leon to have an MOT, something I had hoped to avoid by ordering the new one.

I ordered mine pretty much the same time as yours. Last I heard I'm (unconfirmed) Week 48 though, which would be delivery just before Christmas...

Hopefully it has come forward again, calling today to ask.
