Saw my plaything (Mk3 Cupra with a few knobs on) loaded onto the back of a breakdown down to be carted away to the repairers.

A dipstick in a 5 series didn't noticed that I was stopped and took out my rear passenger wing, bumper, (Milltek) exhaust, etc., etc.

Looks expensive.

I hope you declared your exhaust to the insurer. My mate had a claim refused for that.

Why is everybody obsessed with 0-60? My Cupra 420 absolutely destroys the ST 4WD rolling from 30-onwards.

0-60 if I can get the FWD to hook up it will do it roughly the same.

Hurdy did a 0-60 4.2 the other week in his Stage2 Cupra. Best I achieved in a stock Cupra ST 4-Drive was 4.9 on stock tyres.

Did my first proper road trip this weekend.

450 mile round trip, cruising between 70mph and 90mph, came home with an average consumption of 53mpg which I'm very happy with. Only problem with these speeds is the amount of bugs that end of on the front so I gave the car a quick clean when I got back this afternoon.

Good job there! I always am left with small bits of fly or blood stains after cleaning mine. Seems hard to get it off the dynamic Grey.

Do people find that the mirrors does a very good job at slicing bugs and splatters them on your front door windows and front doors? Some bugs even get trapped in the gap between the headlights and front bumper!

Don't get me wrong, it was hard work to get it clean. I use the following method

1. Pressure wash
2. Cover in Autoglym TFR
3. Let that soak in whilst preparing wash bucket
4. Pressure wash TFR off
5. Hand wash
6. Another pressure wash
7. Dry

Didn't bother with waxing because the car was filthy and it was far too hot yesterday afternoon! A "quick" 2 hour wash was enough.

Mirrors are a magnet for bugs too

I just do mine at about 5.00 on a Sunday morning when it is still damp from overnight and the flies wipe off with no effort

I recently altered the badges on the rear of my car. Rather than throwing them out I put them to a new use.

Discovered that my 184 will pull away in 6th without me touching the throttle.

Had been in the Subaru where reverse is down and right. Went to reverse the Leon and wasn't thinking so did the same.

Turns out its true what they say, it is who you know. Took the 280 for is 3rd service to the local stealers and turned out I knew the manager. Did me the service for £90 all in with a Seat Stamp at the end of it

Carbon Fibre umbrella that fits in that gap perfectly, where do I get one good sir?
It's actually just an xxl drizzle duck off Amazon and a piece of Pvc pipe and carbon fibre wrap plus a bit of jiggery-pokery at one end to act as a bung pushing out just enough of the metal tip at the other end to catch.
