I would, as discussed in another thread, 100% support the 034 metal insert. It has been breathtakingly fantastic for my 180 tsi petrol manual. Perfects the ure versions are better for more powerful cars, but after having it a good couple of weeks now, the 034 insert is fantastic.

- Wheel hop doesn't exist in the dry now, or at the very least, it's very very hard to induce, and if there is any, it's no longer the "jackhammer bouncing" thudding, it's more of a soft, jolty skip which is so much better
- In the wet, it's considerably better, off the line launches result in much more spin and claw, with moderate hop only at initial peak torque, but again, the "hop" isn't really hop at all, it's more a traction skipping which is much much more comfortable and feels more like direct feedback, beating MK2 Cupras off the line in pouring rain, TWICE has been my highlight so far :D :first:
- Less slop between slow driving shifts, much appreciated in traffic jams
- Nicer, clearer, louder engine note which is fantastic to hear more of!
- No NVH, no reverse NVH, no idle NVH, only very slight low RPM initial pull away 1000-1500 vibration but not even really vibration at all, more like just "direct audio feedback" from the transmission and engine hearing it work as it should.

That's my two pennies on the 034 metal insert, perhaps in the future I'll try the track based powerflex insert too :).

I have ordered a new oem bush (had to cut the original one to get the powerflex bush fitted) and will order the powerflex insert as well. Hopefully that will be a better compromise.
I will not go for the 034 insert as other Cupra owners have reported it has bend etc. due to the small contact points - and that has been on stock cars; mine is running 382 bhp...
One note on the Powerflex bush though - I would love to try it on the track as the whole car feels significantly more direct with better feedback and no wheel hop/significantly less wheel spin.

Think I'm going to go for the powerflex insert rather than the 034. Can't decide whether to go for the track version or not though Has anyone tried both versions of the powerflex insert?

However, it doe surprise me that 034 don't do a more track focused insert for silly power but if you are getting what you need from the powerflex insert then fair play.

I wonder how mine will be after the remap/exhaust, will have to keep an eye on it for sure but if i can keep the engine noise/volume and all the great reductions in violent hop to nearly zero and smoothness in shifs then i'd be sold on a track insert for only £30 or so!

Maybe it's worth just having both anyway, so we'll see.

It is running 450 nm more or less consistently from 2.000 rpm with the maximum being 465 nm over something like a 500 rpm range. However Revo has made some updates to the map since then, that should increase the mid range torque, so it might be a bit more now..

I am really looking forward to getting the bush changed - I took the wife's polo to some friends earlier today....I believe that more or less sums up the amount of vibrations from the complete bush (or maybe the sum of the vibrations and the wife getting pissed yesterday because I was using all that extra grip and crisp performance it had with the powerflex bush all the time)..

Forgive me, when you say bushes, which bushes are you changing? All I have currently is the dogbone mount insert, is upgrading all relative bushes worth it too? Wouldn't know where to start TBH there is tons on powerflexs website lol.

I figured that changing the dogbone lower bush instead of ramming an insert into the original bush was a better solution. I bought the Powerflex 85-833BL bush but should probably just have bought the 85-833 (not black line) version in stead..

However from what I have read at an Audi forum it should be really sensitive to over tightening so will try and go to the garage and get them to unscrew and then tighten again to 130 nm - just as a last measure before either changing to oem with an insert or the Powerflex 85-833 street version.

Now I've had some time to test it properly, my thoughts on the powerflex (road version) insert. First with the crappy Bridgestone tyres:

There are no negative effects, you can't tell it's fitted from a vibration perspective (except maybe for a split second when you engage reverse, hard to tell). I still got some wheel hop, even in the dry, although it was notably reduced and a lot less harsh. Still quite noticeable wheel hop in the wet. Has it changed anything else? I think everything feels a lot "tighter", but hard to quantify.

Now I've had the PS4S tyres fitted, its a different story. Multiple launches with my foot to the floor in very wet conditions and... nothing :rofl: it now just grips, there is a hint of wheel spin, but it just ups and goes, every single time. I'm extremely surprised, no fuss whatsoever, just grip. As a comparison, I can't get our 8P S3 to launch anywhere as well with its F1 Assymetric boots. The car is now crying out for a remap, more power needed. :D

I will check the inserts in a few months and see how they are wearing.

Erm...are we still talking about cars here? There's been a lot of lower bush chat and ramming inserts into said bushes.......Very 70s.......Very steamy. Lets keep it clean guys.

Interesting and good to hear :). What size wheels do you have? I am tempted by the PS4S but i don't think they do them in 17".

Got the street version of the powerflex bush fitted. It is great and removes most of the wheelhop with only a few vibrations when reversing.

I believe i've seen OZ ultraleggera 18" on those brembo's on an rs3, but with like a hair between.
