what did you and your mk3 leon do today

I live 5 miles from the 'EVO triangle' and can tell you there are much better biking/driving roads around here (hint - it doesn't use the best part of the A543). At the weekends the triangle is full of knobs driving like idiots and is heavily policed.
Drove up Wensleydale to do a little repair on our caravan which we keep up there. Enjoyed the drive until some p*****k coming the other way showered me in gravel from his overloaded truck. He didn't stop of course and had vanished by the time I managed to turn round safely.
So have got several years worth of stone chips in one go - fortunately there don't seem to be any dents. Will need to thoroughly assess the damage when I get back home and decide if it's going to be a mammoth session with the touch up brush or a professional job!

How annoying, I'd be fuming.
Scrap the touch up brush idea though and seek out a professional detailer and let them take a look. Failing that get it sorted professionally.
Got the car waxed again for summer. Been doing this every spring and fall, since I gt the car.
My Leon will be 2 years old come this June. With a fresh coat of wax (Soft99 Fusso, if anyone's interested) it looks as good as new. Also the detailer decided to wash the engie bay as a bonus. I don't think it's been that clean under the hood after it left the factory

Fitted my TRC splitter at the weekend. Gave her a proper clean and polish (Autoglym resin followed by Extra Gloss Protection) Even cleaned and "fed" the leather seats. She don't look too bad for an almost 3 year old car

Booked my 64 plate ST in for a warranty repair on the pathetic, flimsy catch which keeps the load cover taut when it is extended. This is the second repair to the near side, no doubt the off side will break in due course.
Fair play though, there was no problem in getting it done, dealer had a quick look and I'm booked in for next Thursday afternoon.

How did you get on with fitting the splitter? Did you fit with the bumper in situ? Finally got round to painting my splitter so ready for fitting nowFitted my TRC splitter at the weekend. Gave her a proper clean and polish (Autoglym resin followed by Extra Gloss Protection) Even cleaned and "fed" the leather seats. She don't look too bad for an almost 3 year old car

I initially took the bumper off to fit it, using the very handy guide elsewhere in the forum. However there was so much flex in the bumper off the car, I was worried that I'd bolt it on and then find the bumper wouldn't go on, so I marked the bumper where the middle holes would go, put it back on the car and then held the splitter in place with duct tape, after lining up the middle 3 holes again.
The car was jacked up on stands so that I could work safely underneath it but it needed all the plastic trays removing from the wheel arches and front part of the engine for me to gain access to each bolt from the splitter.
Couple of scuffed knuckles and several hours later it all looked neat and tidy, and sturdy. I'm sure there are easier ways folk have fitted them but I'm no mechanic so took me longer than an expert spanner guy. Still it was a sunny day and that helped my vitamin D levels too
I'm yet to actually use them but I did a lot of research and these lot seem pretty decent. They do the repairs for the actual dealers where I got both my cars.
