Hi to everyone and anyone who takes the time to read this. I got my first car pretty late in life so I decided to get a good car hence in August 2014 I got my 5 door cupra 280 with all the trimmings. I've had many comments on the unique colour that is dynamic grey and I now actually feel like I want all my cars from now on to be dynamic grey. Since I took owenrship of the car I have been constantly looking out for new toys for it. I upgraded the rear tints to a limo tint and added a sun strip which works great with the sunroof option. I found very sleak blind spot mirrors which work great with the shape of the mirror and also had mud flaps fitted. I have just recently got the rear portion of the roof wrapped gloss black to match the sun roof and found some very smart looking paddle shift extensions.

The things I have planned when money and time allows is to fit a front splitter along with wrapping the lower lip of the front bumper (something I only now know looks amazing from this forum). possibly fitting side skirts and having them wrapped in black or not. Another thing which I only found out about around an hour ago is the relatively simple modification to the boot struts which allow the boot to open by itself again thanks to this very forum. I also seen an individual post pictures of carbon fibre detailing he had done throughout his dash and center console which I am hoping one of you may be able to help me find also. Don't quite know if i love it yet but it warrants further probing for sure. I did attempt to have my system upgraded to full link but apparently I missed out on it by a year. It also frustrates me greatly to be told that the top of the line spec could not be equipped with fog lights or the illuminated door sills that can be fitted on the FR version as it "may overload the battery". Again guys if you know of anything to the contrary please advise. Especially given the new cupra comes with fog lights as standard I believe. I also missed out on a rear arm rest which is a constant source of annoyance.

I would greatly appreciate any information you guys may be able to provide regarding changing the front door ambiant lighting led colour to blue. I know a few of you seem keen on sound proofing the inside of the door so I am hoping during this process you may recall noticing if it was a simple change of leds that would be required. If so then I plan on changing the accent colour from red to blue on all lights and the callipers as I think it would be a much better match for the Dynamic Grey and It seems every 12 volt accessory I buy these days comes with blue leds as standard.

I am not technically gifted when it comes the mechanics of cars but am curious about any simle modifications which wont require the onboard computer going nuts and flashing up warning lights. I believe from my evening on the forum that the air intake may be a simple upgrade and also the windscreen washers. If either of these have been worth the hassle of fitting for yourself please let me know.

Any and all comments and links will be appreciated guys.I'm sure Like most of you out there I want to know everything that can be done to my car even if It turns out I don't want it done.

For the carbon fibre dash trim, head over to hs-Cnc.de to browse what they have to offer.

Thanks for the quick feedback guys. Soon as I figure out how I'll upload a few pictures.

I trawled the Internet for tyre reviews seem to be having a good experience with some Dunlop sport maxx rs2s right now.

I'm reluctant to do a few of the things you suggest purely for insurance purposes.

Been quoted for getting my wheels repaired sprayed black and diamond cut again. They are in a state of ill repair at present.

As far as changing the air intake. I don't need to plug into diagnostics or anything of that nature do I? Just a straight up part swap?

Disconnect the fake noise generator.
This can be turned down or off via odbeleven. Re tires Michelin pilot 4S's or super sports are the top two currently. but they retail at around 170 a corner. So keep looking fot bargains. There are two recent threads on this forum check them out as they also show places were tires can be got cheep

Air intake is a screwdriver and brute force i have had no warnings yet (check out here for my intake)

I can't post links yet I believe as I'm a newbie. If you search Amazon for "carmate Japan mirror" it's the first item that appears. Still struggling with pictures but as soon as I figure out how to I'll show you how they look on. To be honest I think you could get better blind spot coverage from another item but they always make you look like a caravan enthusiast.

Fraser you need to have done 15 posts first before you can publish pictures.

Then you save your pictures in (for example) photobucket.com and then you add the link and it shows the picture
