Floored it getting onto the motorway and was like an airplane taking off. :D Still getting used to it, so ending up nothing happening then pinned to the drivers seat as I try n guage how much to accelerate.

In other news... grrrr, checked the service book and despite 6 Seat service stamps, the cambelt hasn't been done! So had to book for cambelt and waterpump in a couple of weeks time.

Jesus! You must be making the most of the remap haha

Yeah, I pretty much only use 1st and 5th :D

Those seats

The leather seats weren't really one of the features I was interested in as I've never been fussed. But once I felt how comfortable they were, I'd never change them! I could never get comfy in the FR. But the look has slowly grown on me also. Now I'm thinking its one of the best features.

Also... finally arrived!!!

And I even got a badge this time!

Despite the non stop rain... I managed to get my car almost clean. Will do better when the weathers better.

Wheels I just sprayed n rinsed (lazy lol). But impressed with AG custom wheels for no effort:

How easy is the TripleR Front Splitter to fit? I was considering getting one for my last car but never got round to getting one. Midland VW is a great place to take your car, they remapped my last Leon

Hmm, depends... on the FR it was easy, you drill the holes and you can reach up under the bumper to do the nuts. On the Cupra that was ok for most of the bolts. But the wheel arch liners had to come out to get the end ones cause of the washer bottle and air intake.

I'm actually considering making MidlandVW a second card holder on my bank account. The FR was there every other week having something done. I've only had the Cupra just over a fortnight and they've seen it twice!

I only use Midland VW for my cars, have lost trust with other places. Currently my car has been back n forward with the dealer i got it from with an engine management light on. After 3 visits they actually owned up and said they have to send it to specialist. They spent 5 days diagnosing and fixing the issue apparently. 24hrs after getting it back the light was on again. Midland VW would have done it in a day i am sure. The dealer wont send it there cause they only use this Specialist in Birmingham.

Yup, spent Saturday at MidlandVW. Then had an embarrasing panic and they even let me take my car back in after they closed to make sure it was alright!

My shopping list for the day included: Cambelt kit, new rear discs n pads, brake fluid and Vibra-technics engine mount. Wasn't cheap... but well worth it!

Then attempted to clean the engine bay... will do better next time:

And wash n wax the car for the first time without rushing or raining:

Coming along nicely.

Question though....you recently had it detailed, surely they put some wax/protection on it at the time meaning it shouldnt need another coat of wax so soon?

Cheers. Just need to get the sub back in now and I can relax for a few weeks and recover some £££.

Well, I was in two minds whether to wash it at all. But there was residue from the detail in the seems of the bonnet, boot, etc. Its supposed to have had a protective coating put on it. So I gave it a wash, SRP'd a couple of the deeper scratches the mop didn't touch and then Aqua Wax to top up. But I use aqua wax weekly. HD wax every 6 months.

Been over to Aline for a 4 wheel alignment. Thought I'd give em a try as I'm sick of paying £60 to have 1 wheel moved 1/3mm. Turns out I've fallen for this a couple of times now. And although the tracking was on the limit of tolerance on a couple of settings (hence the red), it was still within the recommendations. So I paid £10 for the check and nowt else.

Also turns out the front is straight. So the inside edge wear on the front is either the lowering, driving style or characteristic of the tyres.
