Hi All!
right this is my first post so i'm kind of new to this, basically i've have got the new ibiza cupra 1.8 tsi and i have recently had it remapped (huge boost in power btw! not sure of the pure output as i havent dyno'd it yet) and after about 1000 miles with this remap the clutch started slipping.
The clutch problem has now been resolved as i amused it was a manufactures default and requested a new clutch under warranty which is what has happened.
To my knowlege the clutch that is in the new 1.8tsi is the same clutch as a 2.0tsi golf r (correct me if im wrong) so realistically the clutch should handle a stage 2 with ease never mind a stage 1 remap.
What im trying to get to basically has anyone had the same problem as me? or does anyone have any advice on what i should do so the same problem doesn't happen again with this new clutch.
When the clutch got replaced i did see the old clutch and visually there was no reason on why the clutch was slipping as it still looked fairly new and not worn to the extent where it should be slipping.
roughly the output on my car now is 240bhp with about 420nm of torque.
Cheers guys for any advise!
