Cheers mate, I'm gonna do the same, seems to be what everyones doing
Is this for gap insurance ? Do you need it first year .... thought insurance on a new car first year covers at full value and it's year two you need it

I'm not too sure with my current insurer who is directline, but when I was with elephant they would only pay out the value of the car at the time its written off etc no matter how old. It seems to differ per insurer.

Cheers

Still a much better price than the dealers ever give, I see some people pay silly amounts of 300 - 500 quid with them, Now that's a joke!

Still says to double check with the insurers, so may be worth giving them a call an see how they deal with this.

just checked with directline and they say this:

If your car is less than one year old and you are the first and only registered owner, in order to get you back on the road as quickly as possible with the minimum amount of hassle, we will try to offer you a permanent replacement vehicle of the same make and model. If we can't, your claim will be settled based on the market value of your car when the accident happened, less any excess that may apply.

Which means you are still better off with gap insurance from the start!

Or find an insurance company that offers the right terms for a lease car

That's if the insurance company is a reasonable price in the first place, even with gap separately my insurance is cheaper with directline than anyone else by a fair bit

Yeah I agree, all seems like one big rip off, we seem to need insurance for insurance these days, just money going out left right and centre! I bet so many of us buy policies that we were already covered on before

Hopefully the government follow through with this whiplash limit business and bring down the premiums like they say they will. Seems like anyone in any kind of bump now has whiplash for the sake of the compensation jobs which puts everyone else's premiums right up, obviously I'm not taking anything away from people genuinely injured but so many aren't

Finance docs all sent off and in proccessing. Now im being told that i might have to wait for a 2 week cooling off period to end before i can get the car. Whats that about?

Also, ive been told i cant pick up from the dealership. Which is 5 mins from where i am! So ive gotta wait for a delivery arrangement!

Delivery date the 30th of this month.

Just called in and they have some cupras that they look to be discounting. Tempted to ask how much to purchase it rather than lease it.

Originally I think it was 43. Then 47 and then 45 as in last week.

It made the boat to get it before December otherwise it would have been 1st week of December

Interesting, its just mine was week 44 and its in the country they have the reg and sent the docs and payment but havent updated delivery date from 16/12/16 yet.

i'm waiting on an update at the moment which I'm hoping will be that delivery is going to be by the end of the month :)

I never bothered getting my build number and calling SEAT CS directly because the updates from the lease broker were ok and id only be calling them every day
