I've been searching for a Cupra lease deal for some time and I've been in a dealer who has advised that they aren't taking anymore orders on the cupra due to the face lifted 2017 model!! Wounded to say the least! Is he talking nonsense or has anyone heard anything similar??

I'm sure I'd seen somewhere that Peterborough Seat had some extras ordered in 5 door manual

Just received this from my lease company.

''Hi Ian,

Currently for SEAT they have 160 + cars with no build slot and most are the Alor blue. However the dealer is collating a list of all the deals that haven’t currently been allocated a build week to SEAT. We should hopefully have a update direct from them Monday or Tuesday . I will keep you updated on any new information I hear.''

i was originally told that it was and unconfirmed build week 42! This has slipped massively to not even having a build week! Looks like im back of the q.

Going to be a loooooooong wait me thinks

Just had an email and call about my car, Seat want the full deposit upfront before I can even take the car. Usually I pay this after receiving it. They have also put the increased mileage on the documents, so waiting to hear about that. At least I now have my number plate and looks like I should have the car soon enough

Excellent news :)

I was told the initial payment was due a week before the car gets delivered. what are you getting? ST SC or 5dr?

I don't blame you, main thing I regret was not going for the DSG box and it was only another £30 a month, I always think things through after I order

Enjoy!

Glad to hear that, I had a focus ST before and did quite enjoy the manual, well until I hit any traffic jams!

I used to own a dsg edition 30 and also drove my dads automatic m235i for 2 months while waiting for my Cupra. Manual for me! Bar traffic jams like you mentioned!

Yeah really like the auto for in traffic which can be fairly often around here with the amount traffic lights i have to go through just to get across town.

I have had a mixture of manual and auto cars over the years but never experienced a DSG box until now and really liked it. I recently had a Leon rental car that was manual, was a really nice and smooth box although it was just a 1.4TSI

I half regretted not going dsg until my drive home last night. No dsg fart noises but a satisfying crack every gear change when hoofing it down an empty road.

Manual all the way for me

Yeah that is the only thing, the dsg fart makes it a bit more obvious you are booting it, I like the going fast but not screaming about it :)
