Hi SuperSticky. I see from your avatar photo that you have white light dials with red needles.
I'm looking for doing that mod but I'll have a electronics tech guy to do it.
Just wondering what leds did you left red on the dash to have only the needles red and the rest of the dial all white.
I ask this concerning only the Temp and Fuel Gauges because they seem to have only 3 leds and as I read/googled it might became pinkish if the wrong leds are changed.

Thanks

Hi pal, what I done is hard to explain so tonight around 9ish I'll whip my dials out and take some snaps of what I done. Regarding the colours I used all white but placed a canal between the face LEDs and needle LEDs...this has eliminated the pink'ish glow. Will post pics up tonight pal.

As you can see I've placed thick card down the Center of the funnel within it I've placed a red led and on the outside a white one, also using foil to reflect light around the small fuel and temp dials. Cheers all.

Thanks for the detailed answer. That's a clever move. :)

And the foil was an option I had in mine but wasn't quite sure if would do the trick.

Now I'm going for it!

Cheers

Have you tried clearing and airbag codes with vag-com? I had the airbag light come on after unplugging the passenger airbag warning light with the battery still connected but vag-com cleared it.

Unfortunately I do not have access to such luxuries (vag com) :(
Might have to purchase one it does not clear itself. Pain in the back side it coming on just because of disconnecting two cables to allow me to work on that LED.

A mate of mine just plugged his blue tooth diag connector up and used Torque Pro software on his phone but when he went to scan for error codes it did not come up with any...?

Would i have better luck with an ebay cable and Ross tech light software to clear air bag error code?

All Fixed :3rd:

Really happy, used vag com to clear the error code as it was caused by me not having both cables plugged into the cluster and registered as fault, also changed the left working stock LED as it was a different color (more dull yellow/green) so now match.

Best part is my workaround i have used with using them ultra blight green LED's which were blinding the fook out of me when indicating at night (Looked like i was having a disco) Solved this by using tip X pen to cover 90% of the LED face. Now i get a nice warm dark green. :funk:

Thanks for all the help :D
